"Oh I reckon you'll be fine"

More than a couple of people have said they think I'll sail through the menopause.
It's got me wondering what it might be about me that makes them say this.
From what know, there are factors which can influence the age of menopause, but other than that, it's just luck of the draw.

So, what do you think it might be about me that makes people think this?

Of course, I hope they're right.

Many women at this time, also step down from senior roles, retire early or cut down on working days.

No one can be so flippant as to say you will be fine re the menopause. Many are fine, many are not.

Human beings have an optimism bias, it has a special name, even, we tend to assume the best will happen & then get upset that it didn't.

Is why we believe our loved ones will live forever.

So so true. I can't imagine working full time until I retire.

I'm a lone parent so I have no choice but to work full time until I retire. Fortunately I enjoy my job.
