magic tips to remove residue from HRT patches?

I have been on Evorel patches for a week, they are super-sticky and definitely aren't going anywhere when attached.

But pulling them off leaves a sticky border around the edge of where the patch was which is really, really had to remove and attracts all sorts of fluff and fibres from inside trousers and underwear. Have tried scrubbing with soap to little effect apart from making my skin sore.

There must be a magic tip or trick to dissolve this stuff easily??

I use Surgical Spirit from Tesco to remove plaster residue. It comes in 100ml bottles but you may have to ask at the pharmacy.Very quick and easy and very cheap.
