HRT: wow! What a difference

izzy2076 · 25/09/2021 09:38

I have only been on it a month and I honestly feel it's changed my life.

Tinnitus: gone. PMT:gone. Sleep is better and no anxiety. I have a lot on my plate at the moment but feel able to cope. The energy is amazing and I feel almost high. Almost too energised and a bit too 'full on' and slightly manic.

Will the effects start to fall off eventually or am I going to feel this well forever?!

What regime are you on? I want to feel that well too!

Strumpetpumpet · 25/09/2021 20:01

I’d love to know too! I’ve been on it for 3 months and don’t feel any difference 😢

Rattymare · 25/09/2021 20:04

What are you on? I've been on it 2 months and I'm not feeling it tbh.

Kittykat93 · 25/09/2021 20:04

Whatever you're on...I want it

reallifegetsintheway2 · 25/09/2021 20:06

I want it too!! Sounds amazing

HemanOrSheRa · 25/09/2021 20:09

What HRT are you taking?! I'm waiting for mine to be delivered. I'll be grateful for any improvement, I feel absolutely bloody dreadful.

Thedishwasherstacker · 25/09/2021 20:14

What are you taking? I am 48 and have been feeling crap for about 4 years now. Constant exhaustion, tinnitus getting worse by the day, sleepless nights, no libido, awful gut issues, anxiety through the roof, heavy periods and anaemia and I just can’t handle my stressful life anymore, I just want to sleep. But hey! I am not in perimenopause according to 3 GP’s I’ve spoken to as I don’t have hot sweats or changes in my periods yet!

SaintVal · 25/09/2021 20:19

Oooh yes I'd also like to know which one you're taking. I'm on the patches - I feel a lot better but still don't feel 'right'.

Runaround50 · 25/09/2021 21:26

SaintVal, you and me both!
Better with the patch then without, but still not balanced enough to feel normal. It’s a bloody minefield I’ve decided.

Runaround50 · 25/09/2021 21:29

What’s the magic Hrt then??

Psychonabike · 25/09/2021 21:29

Me too. I feel like someone I used to be!

A few months in and I'm realising that so much that I felt was just aging -poor sleep, constant fatigue, feeling stiff and achy- was actually my hormones and reversible.

I am so glad I started, I had no idea I'd feel this good.

What are you taking Psychonabike? I'm so very tired, achy and sore today, I feel like I've been run over by a steamroller.
MoragsEyebrows · 25/09/2021 22:09

Same for me, OP.

After nearly a year of hot sweats, sleeplessness, anxiety and generally feeling terrible and not myself, I started Evorel sequi patches and within 48 hours felt myself again.

Amazing!

FreeBritnee · 25/09/2021 22:12

Sounds great!!

SaintVal · 25/09/2021 22:19

I need to know before I go to bed 😂

I used to be so laid back but now I feel so anxious with the day to day 😩

Parsley1234 · 25/09/2021 22:29

What is it too please I feel better with joint pain but no joy enthusiasm for anything 😢

LizzieSiddal · 25/09/2021 22:53

I feel the same! After a month on Everol Conti all hot sweats stopped and I was sleeping through the night.
I’ve been on it 6 months now and other huge benefits have been, no more aches in joints, including really painful feet, (I’m back in flip flops and high heels again). Itchy skin has completely gone and my mood is so much better. It’s been like a miracle for me, and I only wish I’d started it years ago. (I’m 55).

HemanOrSheRa · 25/09/2021 23:06

I think the OP is off feeling fabulous somewhere. I'm lying on the bed trying to summon the energy to put the clean duvet cover on. Been here for 2 hours.

Miranda15110 · 25/09/2021 23:27

I know it doesn't work for everyone but I have to agree I had a similar experience. I'll stay on it as long as I can!

Branleuse · 25/09/2021 23:28

Its a gamechanger isnt it

WaterTheGrass · 25/09/2021 23:30

I need to know more!

izzy2076 · 25/09/2021 23:36

Sorry I was our windsurfing/salsa dancing/living my best life (not really!)

I'm on oestrogel 2 pumps plus utrogestan. It was honestly like watering a dying plant. Almost immediate too. Had a rocky start with the utrogestan and felt like shit and thought it was over but then peeled up. Honestly. I feel like myself again. I didn't realise I hadn't been myself for a good couple of years before taking this stuff.

Sorry to sound smug as I know it doesn't work for everyone. I honestly felt like I was falling apart but physically and mentally before. I was even taking citalapram for shitty 2 week long PMT when really I should have just started this much sooner.

The same as me. It was my 3rd change of HRT and it works.
Aquamarine1029 · 26/09/2021 00:01

I've been on HRT for 7 years and it's been nothing short of a miracle from the start. Absolutely amazing.

Smallkeys · 26/09/2021 00:07

Anyone taking elleste duet . Not getting the amazing results 1 month in and still feeling crappy
