HRT: wow! What a difference

I have only been on it a month and I honestly feel it's changed my life.

Tinnitus: gone. PMT:gone. Sleep is better and no anxiety. I have a lot on my plate at the moment but feel able to cope. The energy is amazing and I feel almost high. Almost too energised and a bit too 'full on' and slightly manic.

Will the effects start to fall off eventually or am I going to feel this well forever?!

I’m sitting here crying now because I can’t go on like this anymore, this is horrendous and my mum and her sister didn’t feel like this, they had it easy and yet the doctor asks what age my mum was and what was she like etc, etc, but my mum didn’t take HRT and she felt irritable and that’s it, lucky her, I wish that’s all I felt; I feel like I’ve done 10 rounds with Tyson and all day today I’ve had this awful taste in my mouth which is sending signals to my brain as if I’m hungry but I’m not, the food takes the taste away temporarily, and it’s not covid as I don’t have a fever or cough, I’m clearly on the wrong dose and it needs upped so I’m calling the doctor tomorrow at 8am, if I didn’t have a daughter then I think I would do myself in and I’m not just being dramatic, I can’t handle this.

God, that sounds rough, HateJudgementalPeople. Could it be a reaction to the HRT itself? I felt suicidal on starting with each new mirena coil so I imagine it’s a very individual response to hormones.

Really hope you find a useful solution soon.

@MistandMud my mental health is worse since taking the hrt than before terrible low moods and complete malaise and enthusiasm for anything

It was @JinglingHellsBells who gave me the advice and help to ask my GP for HRT years ago. She's been really helpful with all sorts of HRT queries over the years. So thank you Jingling.
