I've started taking HRT, after six or seven months without a period. I've been using the oestradiol gel, and now I have to take the progesterone tablets for ten nights. I forgot about having to take them at least two hours after food, and I ate supper really late. I suppose I need to leave it until tomorrow? I'm v anxious about the tablets, partly because they are tablets, rather than transdermal, and partly because I'm frightened of getting dizzyness, and migraines. If you've taken this were you ok on the tablets? is there not a transdermal alternative? I did have natural progesterone cream for a while , from a different clinic, but my Gynae says that it has to be the tablets as the cream can't give a high enough dose?
I'm just having a big wibble- hate tablets, as I've had reactions to things in the past, and I hate feeling dizzy or faint, for similar reasons - I need some HRT hand -holding!

Discoisabelle you could actually be me, literally me !!! I have the Aveeno blue bottle , the sprays quite good in between too . I’m allergic to a lot of stuff which just makes it more complicated but this seems to not give me reaction . The itching gave me scratches all over my shoulders and abdomen. I’m still crazy just before period but not all month round . It nearly cost me my relationship, my partner is 11 years younger so I feel I can’t complain to him as it then means I’ve admitted I’m old ! Crazy I know we can’t help it . Did it just happen to you what seems like overnight . I feel like I woke up one day and had aged ... how’s your tolerance ? I tell people off if I’m not happy and my face says it all . My poor girls had to walk on egg shells !! Like you hrt really lessens it . Now just my hair to sort . I’m blonde (not natural ) it was my asset (IMO ) always lovely and thick now cardboard roots two little bald patches at my temples and my scrunchie wraps around pony tails about 4 times instead of two . And this itchy scalp You’re words made me feel better though . My bathroom cabinet is full . I tell you another thing what helped with itching is I stuck a water filter at end of shower pipe so my water is less hard . It does make a tiny difference and I use cetaphil soap bar. I could go on for hours with everything I tried . Formication then I’ll remember that and I know now it’s all part of it . Thank you

Ah slatey12 we must be related ! I use cetaphil soap bar, scrunchie wraps around 4 times instead of two, just spent a fortune on a water softener, however husband is NOT 11 years younger than me ! now we must stop chatting this thread which is dedicated to Utrogestan, PM if you wish, i will PM you if i find something to stop the itching (have you tried antihystamins ? Didn't work for me but does work for some ladies).

Hello. I know this is an old post but did things settle down for you? I started utrogestan 12 days ago and have all the stomach issues you mentioned. Im waking up each morning with the runs and horrid cramps. Did you persevere and did it get better?
