Your worst emotional issues with peri and meno?

I'm just interested!

I seemed to be really lucky and get very few peri symptoms; I got to almost 53 with nothing except an occasional missed period, then the hot flushes started.

Looking back, I was very short tempered and had 'rages' at home but I put that down to living with 2 equally hormonal DCs in the middle of A levels etc.

What was bad for you? Anxiety? weight gain? work issues? Confidence? Did anything help?

Thanks oddsocks, I will. Although as she is almost 18 it is maybe too late!!

She is young for her age, not very academic, and struggles to accept any help from us/college having had tutoring on and off when younger. I have stepped away big style in last 2 years, but still hard work.

Have also logged onto surgery just now and seen we have 2 new lady Doctors, one of which has a couple of online appts this week, so have booked to see her. She looks younger than others, so hopefully reasonably up to date. I didn't like either of existing female GPs, due to problems on other visits. The one I did like left.

Anyone with any advise of what I should be looking for - HRT (if so, what form, have mirena already) or a mild ad?

No advice kath but just logged onto make an appointment with my Dr too. - I’m already on HRT and AD but maybe need a higher dose!

I have always been that laid back I'm horizontal, now I have the Rage at the stupidest of things.
I look in the mirror and look old, but am still convinced I'm 23.
