Thanks Friendly. I know what you mean about being hyper-aware of every twinge.

SkivingAgain · 12/05/2014 19:45

Thanks Friendly. I guess the ultrasound didn't raise any alarm, such as spotting any tumours, and that's why there's no sense of urgency. Did they mention how your ovaries look?

friendlymum67 · 13/05/2014 12:43

I guess/hope so!! Sonographer said my ovaries looked 'full' and that indicated I would probably have another bleed!! Much as I'm not looking fwd to the procedure - I almost wish it wasn't so far away - convinced myself that my 'low' stomach ache is connected to it ...... x

Evening ladies. Op is booked for 2nd June and I've an appointment with consultant next week so need to get all my questions sorted out ready.

friendlymum67 · 20/05/2014 14:10

Hi Skiving - how are you feeling about it all now? Do you know yet whether it is to be done via abdomen and whether they are leaving your ovaries? Let us know how the consultant's appointment goes Thanks

SkivingAgain · 20/05/2014 16:27

Hi friendly, I'll find all that out on Thursday when I meet with consultant. I'm sure he already said that it would be abdominally but will check. My view is that they should take the whole lot out - I'm post-menopausal so don't think I'm benefitting in the ways younger women might. Will keep you posted. How are you coping with the wait?

trace2 · 21/05/2014 21:49

Hi Trace, hope you've had a good week. I go into hosp on Sunday, op on Monday and hope to be home on weds or thurs. Getting it all taken out, including ovaries, tubes and cervix. Starting to get nervous, but sure it will all be fine. Bleeding has really increased in the last 10 days, and even though everything has happened really quickly, it's been 2 months since I saw GP.

I'm home! And I feel great. Had a rough day yesterday with nausea and diarrhoea, which hospital think was a reaction to one of the antibiotics. Woke this morning and felt 200 x better so they've let me come home. 6 weeks of taking it easy nowWink
