Paris Mumsnetters? English? French?

Hi,
I'm English but as my nickname would suggest have been living in France for the past 5 years or so. Have a little girl aged 11 months and am currently enjoying being a stay at home mum but a little more grown up contact couldn't go a miss. Wondered whether any Mumsnetters out there might be in the Paris vicinity????

Hi alibubbles, That's good to know as I've only left dd with friends and family so far. Have been struggling to get places in creche or halte garderies...May well be in touch! We live in the 15th so not too far from your dd. How long is she in Paris for?

Any other English Mums in Paris? Or English Mums in France? Ou bien tout simplement des mamans qui habitent a Paris et qui connaissent ce site???

Hi,
I'm English, living in the 8th with a 13 month old daughter. Would love to meet up sometime. Fridays often good for me.

Beetle73 · 22/08/2005 16:00

Hi Alibubbles, I'd be interested in getting in touch with your DD about babysitting. Can she do daytime or only evening?

Sorry, I'm a bit slow, I don't have regular access to Internet. Would LOVE to meet up Beetle73. Fridays are fine with me...are you free 2nd Sept?
alibubbles, I'll drop you a line on email too if that's ok....we'll make sure that your daughter has time to study too, of course!!

We're just off on holiday for a week or so. Not back until 5th, so I'll drop you a line on MN around then. Looking forward to it.

I'm in the pas de calais. think Paris probably a bit too far unless you head back to the UK through Calais?

Have tried before to see if any mnetters in the north of France, but didn't have any luck.

ggg was great when I needed to know about innoculations though. hope your fridge got sorted.

fab! am feeling less lonesome already! also received news from blossom2 who lives 5 minutes away from me. don't know why I didn't think of using this chatroom before............ probably because dd hasn't left me much brainpower for any thinking until now
definitely up for a rencontre Parisienne ggg - just say the word when you're in the area...

teeavee · 27/08/2005 13:30

ggglimpopo - so sorry for not gewtting 'round to contacting you for mett-up in Concarneau - had a lot of unforeseen houseguests and things cominmg up. Hope you all had a good time anyway in Breizh?

ParisMum · 01/09/2005 08:55

just wanted to share the two things that have happened this week to make me feel like I'm part of the world 'out there' ... on Tuesday I met up with blossom2 and her two dds which was a great chance to marvel at just how small a 7 week old baby is.... I had already forgotten! AND yesterday I took delivery of my very own, very beautiful ibook and so am totally hooked up to the internet now, but determined not to spend my whole life on it....

french keyboard and yes, it comes with Tiger. I'm in the 'very steep learning curve' phase as I'm a Mac Virgin but am being won over with every passing minute!

Hi Parismum. I'm back, and I see a few others have come out of the French woodwork. Are you around this weekend? Or Friday week (16th)?

ParisMum · 07/09/2005 12:50

hi beetle73, hope you had a fantastic holiday. Friday 16th would be better for me. Any preferences for a meeting place? You're in the 8th if I remember rightly and I'm in the 15th so I'm sure we can come up with something between the 2...

Great. 16th better for me, actually. If the weather's OK we could try the Musee Rodin. I think it's free to the garden with a child, there's a cafe and it's sort of halfway. What do you think?
