Meet-ups

When meeting up take sensible precautions. Meet in a public place and let others know where you are going.

Would anyone like a Christmas meet up a bit further up north?

so please can you confirm who the organiser it
where its being held
what the venue is
post travel inn links for those who need them
shout out regularly to oliveoil so i can share a taxi

Tortington · 12/08/2005 10:43

no really - just realised - your all going to drive to the rafford centre !!! deffo not a piss up then?

Nemo1977 · 12/08/2005 10:44

wont be able to drink with being pg and also having to drive home..lol

chloe55 · 12/08/2005 10:48

Couldn't drink even if I wanted to:

a) Will be driving
b) 1/2 lager makes me feel sick!

I guess it makes sense though, was a bottle of wine a night girl before I fell preggers so would have been a nightmare weening myself if it didn't make me feel so bad!

TicTac · 12/08/2005 10:54

I don't know who is organising it but if there are no volunteers I don't mind...wont be a pee up as I think a few of us are preg and would have to drive! But feel free to have a jug of Sangria or two if the mood takes you!!!!

mumtosomeone · 12/08/2005 10:58

will it be night tme?

TicTac · 12/08/2005 10:59

Hi Mumtosomeone...I think the 3rd December has been suggested which is a Saturday...no times I have discussed yet....do you have a preference?

chloe55 · 12/08/2005 11:00

Night time would be better - are the restaurants open at night? That way we are not amidst the mad xmas shoppers.

TicTac · 12/08/2005 11:05

Chloe...They are open till midnight I think in the Trafford Centre... I would have thought that about 18:00 would be a good time to meet but that is only my view!

chloe55 · 12/08/2005 11:06

Yeah, I'll go with that, I start falling asleep past about 11pm!

TicTac · 12/08/2005 11:08

LOL... I know that feeling Chloe!

dyzzidi · 12/08/2005 11:20

I unfortunately won't be drinking as I am PG. I've even got my hen night tomorrow where I will be the sober one with 20 drunken women so I am in practise if all you lot want to get drunk

I also don't mind running people to the train Station afterwards if it will help people out as it is all fairly local to me.

TicTac · 12/08/2005 11:23

How far will you be dyzzi? Chloe and I will be 30 weeks so wont be drinking either!

chloe55 · 12/08/2005 11:28

Oh my God, TicTac! Thought there must be another Chloe on the thread then, 30 weeks! Jesus!!!!

TicTac · 12/08/2005 11:33

No hun I am talking about you!!

dyzzidi · 12/08/2005 11:44

I will be about 35 weeks! God I hadn't actually thought too much about being that far pregnant!!!

I am sure I will be eating for two by then.

TicTac · 12/08/2005 12:06

LOL....I can't believe I will be 30 weeks either!!

Dahlia · 12/08/2005 12:31

I am 5 mins away from TC and would love to come! I only post occasionally on mn now, but would really like to meet some other mnetters. I will keep my eye on this thread.

Gobbledigook · 12/08/2005 12:41

Where is there to eat that decent in the TC?

Custy - I'm with you - I never shop there!

lilibet · 12/08/2005 13:08

TicTac - I'm one of the more [ahem] mature ladies on here!!

I'm 42, and my three are 16, 12, and 8!

Trafford Centre would be fine for me, but I would have prefferred somewehre for a bit of a bop, but if everyone is happy with meal, so be it!

Custy - stop being so bossy and organised!! Not like you at all

TicTac · 12/08/2005 13:11

LOL...I don't think that is too mature lilibet...
Do you know who was organising this meet?

You have La Tasca in the Trafford Centre, that seemed to be one of the earlier suggestions?!?
