Prompted by the unmasking of a few more Worcs mums....

We're due another get-together. Shall we suggest dates in Sept ? I know we're only just into August but DH is working away and things are a bit muddled diary-wise for this month.

So far pretty much any evening in Sept is free for me. Ideally it'll be a Weds, Thurs or Friday night

I have no idea when that will be, but there are plenty of Worcester MNers to make up a meet up without me. Arrange this one and I'll come to the next one (hopefully).

Ok, so far we have 14/15/16 Sept as potential dates, and a preference for in Worcester! Since I'm a yokel, (my village really really is Ambridge) I don't know about venues, so would any kind sophisticate like to suggest one please?

The Nightingale is the one we had our first meet-up at, Gumdrop. The place on the Evesham road, good for you IIRC.

The second place we went to was the Swan at Whittington.

The first is a nice atmosphere, less closed in than the Swan, the food is cheaper than thw Swan but nowhere near as delicious. Still reasonable though. HTH

The Nightingale was very nice. And less crowded than the Swan, but a mile or so further out of town. Does anyone have any huge aversion to either of these?

And we still need to finalise a date from the three?

LunarSea · 07/09/2005 10:53

Hi Gumdrop - just spotted this (haven't been online much lately). I could probably do 14th or 15th.

GeorginaA · 07/09/2005 13:35

I'm happy with either, but price wise - the Nightingale is much more likely for me to be able to justify the meal out than the Swan. Swan is lovely but that bit more expensive.

That said, though, finances are really tight at the moment, so I might not be able to confirm that I'm coming until right the last minute. Would that be alright?

Gumdrop · 08/09/2005 16:34

Ok, Wed 14th, at the Nightingale. Who is coming? Don't make me have to CAT you all!!!

GeorginaA · 08/09/2005 17:10

Well ... that evening is free and I've written it in my diary - can I be provisional please

Gumdrop · 12/09/2005 09:37

BUMP!!!!

LunarSea · 12/09/2005 09:40

I will - if anyone is that is!

Gumdrop · 13/09/2005 12:31

Oh dear Lunarsea, I think it might just be us two. In the absence of anyone else jumping in as a definite, shall we cancel it? It's not that I don't think that we wouldn't have a good time, it's just a meetup of 2 might qualify for saddest MN meet up ever!

Perhaps we should go for one in about a month's time, when we're not all broke from buying school uniform etc?

LunarSea · 13/09/2005 13:42

Oh well.... We could always have another try at getting the "midway between Solihull and Worcester" meetup off the ground, so we should get some from both ends?
