am pretty new to MN and only just found this. I live in Swindon but am not from the area so do not know a single other mum. DD is 16m now and I have to say I feel quite isolated on the mummy bonding front.

I am originaly from West Kent, but seem to ahve been in Swindon 10 years now! I ahve two boys, 6 and 2.5

I'm in old town ish area.

hi Fluttergirl...you're similar to me then, moved to Swindon (ish - we're not far from Broad Hinton) 10 years ago next month...and we moved from East Sussex !!!! DS is 5 and DD is just coming up to 3. I run the Funky mamas event in Swindon..would love to catch up with some mumsnetters at some stage...maybe we could aim to meet at the March party night if we can't maange to get together before then !

My two are the same age, Ds1 is 6 next week and Ds2 is 3 in April!

hi, I am in st andrews ridge, I have 3children 1 at 9, 1 at 2 and another at 1. We go to toddler groups monday, & wednesday but will be up for meeting at a softplay area 1 morning- If anyone is interested

...am going to Space adventure tomorrow with DD (3) getting there around 11, meeting up with another friend...we'll be the two women sitting and having coffee as out two children race around like lunatics (the chance to sit and have a coffeee at last after all those years having to chase toddlers around at activitiy centres !)

I am new to Swindon in the Lawn area, only been here for 6 months, i have a 14 yr old boy 10 yr old boy and a 7 week old daughter. I know not a single sole, and am really feeling it now lol, anyone close by???

Hello!
I'm in Singapore after two years and move back to Swindon next month. I have a nearly 3 yr old son.
When I was in Swindon last I was there for less than a year and I don't know anyone there anymore :(
I am getting nervous about being Billy No Mates dealing with 'culture shock' in cold England :) and I would LOVE to meet other parents and their children.
Anyone kind/interested enough to want to get to know a new person?!!

Something for me to look fwd to on my return in April. Roll on May (though with everyone dancing guess there wont be much time for talking!)
I don't know where to start meeting/making friends in Swindon. My son is a bit old for NCT meet up these days I think.

My DD is 2 1/2, so I'm always up for finding someone to go soft play with - hate being a billy no mates!

Thanks for your reply! I will sort myself out for CAT in the next day or so!
Definitely like the idea of meeting up. Much as I love my son, I do enjoy some more adult conversation :)
I return to Swindon end of April. Is it warming up yet?!
When is your next baby due?

Hi Jmum6 - tried to cat you too (but can't)
I arrive to UK 20th April, but spending a few days with the in laws.
The following week our personal gear arrives off the ship (well I hope so as nothing seems guarenteed)and some things come out of storage, which makes it the week after that and I am looking to start my life again!
