With-baby meet-up in Brighton / Hove

Hi everyone.

I'm moving to Brighton (well Hove!) with my DP and 15mo DS next month, and I'd love to meet some other parents.

I went to a Brighton meet-up recently, and really enjoyed it, I'm looking forward to the next one. (And I'll make sure I can stay out a little later next time!) But, I thought it'd be nice to also do something with the little ones.

I have no idea what though - beach / park etc? I don't know the area very well.

If it was a pub they'd have to be VERY child-friendly - DS is at the stage that he wants to be toddling around most of the time, and he wants to tough everything! Does one exist I wonder? (The days of sitting calmly in the corner of nice pubs are over for a long while I suspect)

I though maybe sometime in May, or maybe the weekend of 24/25th April?

What do you reckon?

Just wanted to say it was really nice to meet you and your little ones.

It's a shame we didn't get to meet everyone. I wonder if some of you might have been there and not found us because of the unbelievable crowds? Not exactly an easy place to find people in retrospect, but then who would have guessed there would be a grand reopening of the playpark today?! We stuck it out for about an hour then retreated to the grass by the cafe which was much calner.

I was so upset that I couldn't come, was staying with my Dad who decided to wait until I went to leave to tell me that he'd made plans for us.

Maybe if there is another when I'm next down I'll be able to come!! Hope you all had fun

Hiya CrosswordGeek I'm actually a bit relieved to hear you weren't there, I was a little worried that you had come but been unable to find us for all the crowds, it really was packed! Next time I arrange to meet strangers in a park I'll try to make sure there isn't a party happening at the same time!

It would be lovely to meet you another time though. Have you seen this thread?. It's a without-DCs Brighton meet-up. I went to the last one, for the first time, and had a really good time, you should go!
