Hi everyone I've moved us onto this one from the Yorkshire Sculpture Park one to give us more room to jiffle around in and try to attract some more interest!!

I know that Claireandrich and Bozza are interested, what about Ditsymum, PamT and Nettie - you were interested last time any good days for you??

Anyone else interested??

And any ides for a 'where'? Or shall we go with the Sculpture Park again??

Hi again. Just to say that I am still on for meeting up.

Monday afternoons
Friday, all day

Once in summer holidays:
Anytime!

Bozza · 04/06/2003 11:19

I'm also Monday afternoons and Fridays. But unfortunately no summer hols!

WedgiesMum · 05/06/2003 13:50

Right - let's take the bull by the horns and talk about actual dates. What about a Monday afternoon this time?

I can do 23 June or 7 or 14 July - any good for you?

And shall we say the Sculpture Park again, as it seems convenient for everyone?? lots of room for running around and the cafe was quite good, and they didn't seem to mind the cake crumb mess DD made.....

Bozza · 05/06/2003 16:57

Out of the dates mentioned by wedgiesmum I can do 23 June and 14 July.

Sculpture Park is fine by me.

Claireandrich · 06/06/2003 11:31

Any of those for me too. Can't get there 'till after 12ish though as we have Tumble Tots in the morning.

WedgiesMum · 06/06/2003 21:47

Okey Dokey, let's do the 23rd then - why not??

I can make it for around 1pm is that OK? How about if we bring a picnic and have a spot of lunch to start with??

Or we could start later (say 2pm) and have a picnic around 3.30??

OP posts:
Claireandrich · 06/06/2003 22:31

23rd is good for me. Can do either time. Love the idea of picnic, fingers crossed it is nice weather - if not we can always go to the cafe and have the picnic at home for tea!

We will be coming after Tumble Tots which is much closer than my house anyway. That finishes at 11am. So, I can nip to Meadowhall first to get some food for me and Mollie.

Claireandrich · 08/06/2003 20:40

Just thinking - the earlier time might be best for me as we can avoid rush hour later on possibly then. What do you think?

WedgiesMum · 08/06/2003 20:55

Earliest I can get there will be about 12:45/1pm is that OK (we'll be coming from pre-school)??

OP posts:
Claireandrich · 08/06/2003 20:57

Yep, can do anytime after 12 so that's fine for me.

Where is everyone else? Is Bozza still interested? And what about the others?

WedgiesMum · 09/06/2003 20:52

Yes - where are you all??

OP posts:
Bozza · 10/06/2003 12:30

Yeah I'm still up for it. So are you saying about 1pm on Monday 23rd with a picnic?

easy · 10/06/2003 15:06

Erm... I know you've had one of these meet-ups before, can you tell me what happens?

Reason I ask is that I'd love to come with ds, but am recovering from hip operation. Out and about again now, but not up to walking miles and miles. Would love to meet up with some other mums, and chat, and ds (3 3/4) will play with the other children.

As I've been housebound over the last 3 months I'm eager for any opportunities to get out and see people again (esp as dh has had to go back to the office full time).

Please fill me in

Thanks, We'd love to come

Claireandrich · 10/06/2003 15:15

Bozza - great to hear you are still up for it; 1pm on 23rd is fine for me - best check with wedgiesmum though as I think she works in the morning

Easy - last time it was just two of us and we went to YSP too. We had 3 little ones with us and just has a stroll through the park. It wasn't far and very slow really. However, this time we are planning a picnic so the walking bit would be even more limited. Besides we can go at your pace and you can set the limits - I am sure others would be fine with that too (are you???). Hope you can make it.

Bozza · 10/06/2003 15:22

Easy I'm sure you would be OK for this. Having a very nosy two year old I'm used to a steady pace.

Claireandrich - that was the time wedgiesmum said she could make it by. Anytime from 11.45 (we have an activity in the morning) is Ok for me. I can't be fussy when you've so kindly planned it right on my doorstep

easy · 10/06/2003 15:30

In that case yes we're in, 1 pm on the 23rd is great for us.

Oh except granny has just expressed an intention to visit that week, perhaps she'll come too, or maybe not

Looking forward to it.

Claireandrich · 10/06/2003 18:36

Well let's make that a definite shall we? 1pm at YSP. We are busy in the morningto with Tumble Tots so that's a good time for me as well.

Shall we agree to meet in the main car park (just off the roundabout), and to take a picnic with us? We need £1.50 in change for the pay and display though.

WedgiesMum · 10/06/2003 22:02

Well remembered about the carpark Batgirl! Yes 1pm is fine by me. Cos it's a Monday I don't work then, DS is at pre-school, and me and DD will pick him up at 11.45 complete with picnic to be there by 1. Good Plan!!!

OP posts:
Bozza · 11/06/2003 16:46

See you all there.

WedgiesMum · 16/06/2003 10:51

Just to bring this one back on thye Board and remind everyone that this is next week.

OP posts:
Claireandrich · 16/06/2003 20:23

We will be there - not forgotten. Don't forget your car park money!!!

easy · 16/06/2003 21:26

:-(
Can't make it after all. This message is being posted by DD, since I'm now in hospital with a broken leg (well, it's sort of fixed now, and mending).

Bozza · 17/06/2003 11:40

Sorry to hear that Easy. Hope you are back on your feet soon. And don't get too addicted to Mumsnet while recuperating!

Claireandrich · 17/06/2003 22:45

Sorry to hear you are in hospital Easy. Hope you get well soon!

WedgiesMum · 18/06/2003 12:32
