Anyone fancy meeting in Derby or Birmingham?

Does anyone fancy meeting in Derby or Birmingham? These cities are easiest for me as I live in Burton-on-Trent and don't drive. The end on this month or middle of JUly are best for me.

yep, 22nd July sounds good to me,

and thanx, a car park close to play area would be easier

I can do 12:30pm on 22nd of July too.

Xhausted - I loved teaching at Ecclesbourne as the kids were lovely and got great results there with all of them. Unfortunately current school is exact opposite and has just failed it's OFSTED. Only moved 'cos of the M1 travelling every day

Where to meet?

Mocha - That's fine, I'll see you there. I don't know Derby station that well where do you want me to find you (you won't miss me I'm very tall with spikey hair and glasses!!)

As for a meeting place what about the carpark off the Markeaton Roundabout near McDonalds?? Any other sugestions??

If easy needs to park closer to the play area, would you be better meeting up near the token booth for the rides?

I'll come along too if we're not away but our plans are a bit haywire at the moment.

Wedgiesmum, I'll meet you outside the station. I have a Graco travel system (black with blue trim)

Good idea to meet at the token booth. The paddling pool is behind it so I will be the one yelling at my kids to keep out of it until they are changed!

If you want to park close to the play areas (and token booth) then from the Markeaton roundabout take the A52 towards Ashbourne. About a third of a mile on you will see a brown sign for "Mundy Play Centre" (think the crematorium maybe signposted too?). Turn right here and follow Markeaton Lane until you see the car park on your right. Parking is 70 p for up to four hours. Bargain!

Hello, I live near Ashbourne so I am keen to meet up if I can. We go quite a lot to the Mundy play Centre, there's a lot to do there for all from young ones to older toddlers. I may bring another Munsnet member along/

Sure will be there. and the pick up is still OK. Sorry it's been a while for me to reply, we are just coming out of chicken pox quarantine.... but we will definitely not be contagious by then.

Gld you're coming CnR - how's the eye??

Hi again

Eye is okay now. The ulcer has gone and my vision is back. I can start wearing contacts agin this weekend too. Been a nightmare and taken over three weeks to clear up though, with hourly antibiotic drops, and a course of steroid drops too. Still all sorted now and ready for next week.

Claireandrich · 15/07/2003 21:23

How are all you guys with the pox? Did both DD and DS get it? Hope they weren't too poorly.

CnR - glad the eye is better, poor old you! Only DS got the pox and I'm keeping fingers crossed that DD will be fine, however she appears to now have 'hand, foot and mouth', and Nursery will have her so she can't be contagious. Just call us the spotty family though!!

WedgiesMum - I live in Tamworth and know where Mocha lives so I'll pick her up and bring her along in my mota. If that is ok with you
