Ok.
WE really need to get this sorted if we are to hold a party this year.
As it seems i've somehow managed to volunteer to organise it we figuered we'd just go back to the Hat & Tun as last year's do was so succesfull.

We have a preliminary date of the 28th November.

Last year everyone paid £20 towards venue hire and food ( which was delicious) so if everyone is agree'd we will just do that agin this year.

so if everyone that is interested in coming could PLEASE list your names on this thread so that we know this will be a viable event.

otherwise i need to phone pizza hut and book a booth

Ohhh I am in 2 minds!!

1 - I would have to travel alone
2 - I don't know anyone
3 - I am painfully shy
4 - I am scared
5 - What if nobody talks to me or likes me

1 - I deserve a night out
2 - It will be good to meet new people
3 - It will do my confidence the world of good
4 - It will be fun
5 - I am in the same boat as everyone else in not knowing anyone.

They tried to shake me off but I am more determined than that I'll be the one in the corner on my own wearing the veil that Riven is going to lend me so look out for me and I'll talk to you

Ok sign me up, I will have to pay on Wednesday am skint after ds2's birthday this weekend lol. and will also have to TELL ask dp to book that night off work so he can have the brats boys.

I think I'm in... I have a babysitter sorted but I am a bit like Lady Evenstar and am shy, scared and travelling alone. I won't know anyone.

Riven, we're not near enough for me to drive us there and diff train line. I'm quite excited about a night out.

Yes, I'd be happy to share a room, I think. I have a vague memory of MNers falling out when sharing hotel rooms but I don't think I'd be awful to share with...

and for those that are shy - panic not.
I am not at all shy although terrified anyway, but i promise to make sure that everyone gets a hello and if i see you standing alone i shall make it my mission to push you towards a friendly group/the bar.

and don't think you have to remember everyones name.....i never do!

And there are no real fallings out about sharing rooms. just a slight disagreement one year about someone's drunken behaviour but it was all sorted and not something that is likely to be repeated

Just because im organising doesn't mean i intend to stay sober and play hostess.

Oh and will we be bringing camera's so that we can play guess the norks again?

I'm excited now. Hope it isn't too posh, as I am not.
