Croydon IKEA Breakfast Meet-up.............

OK then, IKEA do a rather nice cooked breakfast for £1 - scrambled egg, hash browns, sausage, bacon, tomato and beans, tea or coffee. Very popular with the local mums, OAPs and B&Q Managers who have breakfast meetings in there!

Anyone fancy breakfast??

I am planning to go on Friday 27 May anyway, so I'll throw it in as a possible workable date. I won't be able to do it for at least 6 weeks after that (minorish op, can't drive afterwards)

There is a big bank holiday sale that weekend, so it's a good chance to check the bargains out, without braving the weekend crowds

I do get there ridiculously early as I go straight from dropping DSs at school, the restaurant opens at 9.30am, half an hour before the store. I'm usually there about 9.15......hope someone fancies joining me!

awwww c'mon SD, I wasn't that bad at your M&T group was I?

Serenity, I don't have Contact Another Talker at the top of my screen. I have even asked a friend in case I'm losing my marbles and she can't see it either. And I promise you I do have a brain - it might not always work to the best of its abilities, but it is there.

Are you able to CAT me and send me your mob number?

Thanks

I'm another 6ft blond(ish), will be pushing a very distintive 3 wheeler twin travel system and with a toddler in tow. I'm not sure I can get there for 9.30, as I'll be coming by tram, but hopefully won't be too much later.

With two 6 foot blondes I'm not sure I want to come now.

I'll be the mousy haired short-arse by comparison.

Oh no, Stitch, when did her spots appear? when ds1+2 had C.pox it took alot longer than 4days for them to crust over. Hope she's feeling ok.

Sympathies Stitch, hope she's not too itchy. Last time I went to IKEA for breakfast, I went with BF and her DS2 had chicken pox - I can see a pattern emerging Still haven't managed to catch it myself, and can't seem to get Dkids infected either! I understand it's better to get it young?

Firewalker, I can't CAT you as you've ticked a box somewhere saying you don't want to receive emails from MN!

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat? I don't remember ticking anything when I signed up!

This site seems to be completely different to what it is with other people. Oh well, I'll just have to look for a group of mums with toddlers/babies of all ages having a good trough!! No doubt, there will be loads of groups who fit into that category - but if you can look out for me (I'm not difficult to miss)! that would be great.

Malfalda - the only MNer I've already met who's coming is tiddlypom , and that was only once at Godstone Farm. I don't 'know' anyone

Kelly - I'll email you my mobile number.

Firewalker · 25/05/2005 20:42

I don't know anyone either Mafalda

Soupdragon - thanks for the advice I've now changed my preferences to receive messages, but I still don't seem to be able to CAT anyone else.

Kelly I'll send you my mobile number - can you send me yours. As I'm arriving later, you will probably be somewhere else by the time I get there.

BTW, is the children's play area (which I've never seen) suitable for 13 month olds or is it for older children?

Is everyone clear (and happy!) about meeting up/finding everyone tomorrow?

The outside play area is fine for walking toddlers, it's mainly a low climbing frame/slide thingy. DD was Ok on it, with lots of help, at 13 mths but she had been walking for a month by then....

The indoor creche (smaland) is for 3 to 11 yr olds, and you can leave them for an hour.

I'm going to embarrass myself by wearing a bright purple velvet ribbon in my (reddish) hair. I will look like a loon, but I should be easy to spot!

Failing that, if you really really can't find anyone go to the Meeting Point at the entrance and ask the nice lady in the yellow shirt to do a customer announcement for Sam and Lydia to meet you at the meeting point, and I'll come and get you. They do these all the time, it's a big place and people often get separated.

Have I covered everthing now?

See you all tomorrow!

I'll be coming staright from school so should be there at around 9:30am too.

I'll be waering a grey vest top and either jeans or a black skirt (it's got a wonky hem line to you'll see me looking odd)

Ds3 will be in a buggy and Ds2 will probably be running off so just look for the dis-obedient(sp?) (almost) 4 yr old.

looking forward to metting you all.
