Thought i'd start a new one cos the old one is pretty dead.

(plus i can get on it from my phone while i'm bored at work. I can't get onto threads that have more than about 300 posts )

Super. How does Friday morning suit?
We could go to Funworld (I STILL haven't been!) but I don't mind where. Or Xplore?

Phoenix · 01/06/2009 11:08

Nooooooooooooooooooo to Xplore, that's where i lost Lewis don't forget

Funworld is fine with me if it's ok with you

OP posts:
wotulookinat · 01/06/2009 13:43

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Funworld is good for me then.
Shall we put it in bold again?

Phoenix · 01/06/2009 15:44

hi
we were in west norwood - so SE too. We moved up here so I could get a job (teacher) and my husband has been childcare.

wotulookinat · 01/06/2009 19:47

you're situation is really similar to mine, trebors. We were in Mottingham, near Bromley. We moved up here for my job (teacher too) and Jon was a stay at home dad, but we've swapped now and I'm at home with the little man.

wotulookinat · 01/06/2009 19:55

I mean 'your'. God, I need some sleep!

trebors · 02/06/2009 19:46

how funny - are you planning on going back to teaching? My husband is doing his teacher training now and qualifies next year when I am hoping (desperately) to go part time.
How did you find your move up here? Did you know people already?

wotulookinat · 02/06/2009 23:17

No we knew no-one when we moved up. Jon's brother lives in Leeds, but that was it. We were completely guided by my job.
I don't plan to go back into teaching for the foreseeable future, but never say never! I'm looking into training to become a counseller instead.
What has your husband been doing up until now? And if he's training to teach secondary English, I have plenty of resources for him!

Phoenix · 04/06/2009 19:41

Have you all started a new thread and forgot to tell me?

Is anyone still going to Funworld tomorrow?

OP posts:
Phoenix · 07/06/2009 20:12

Hellooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

OP posts:
hiccymapops · 09/06/2009 13:08

Hello

Phoenix do you still want those clothes? I'm going to get my bum in gear and sort them all out this week. You're welcome to come and get them next week, or we could meet up. Whichever's easier for you.

Hope everyone's okay

Phoenix · 09/06/2009 13:43

Yes please Hiccy. We can meet up at Funworld if you want, i'm free most days. Can't do Tues or Thurs mornings though cos ds is at pre school. How are you?

OP posts:
hiccymapops · 09/06/2009 15:54

We're good thanks How's you?

We're at Ben's pre-pre-school thing on Tuesdays too. How's Wednesday or Friday then? I'm okay for either. Are mornings okay for you?

Phoenix · 09/06/2009 18:27

Fine but slightly fed up now.

Yes mornings are fine for us. Do you mean next weds or fri? They're fine by me. Funworld? or somewhere else?

OP posts:
hiccymapops · 09/06/2009 21:46

Not long to go now, it really starts to drag near the end doesn't it?

Is Friday morning at Funworld okay for you then? Next week that is (my mum's coming up this week)

Phoenix · 09/06/2009 21:48

I think so, i can't think of anything i'm doing. It may interrupt my days of sitting/laying on the sofa though

wotulookinat · 10/06/2009 21:10

Hi you two
Hiccy, Shelley said she met you - she's lovely, isn't she? She was the lady I was telling you about before.

hiccymapops · 11/06/2009 13:23

Hello

Hiya Wot i wondered where you'd got to. Yes she's really nice She said she was the Shelley you knew.

We've been out to play this morning and i've still got to get stuff sorted for my mum coming tomorrow, i'm shattered!

Hope everyone's okay.

wotulookinat · 11/06/2009 17:05

Yeah she is cool. I love her little boy - he has the best walk And her dog is gorgeous, just a bit slobbery

Hiccy, are you on Facebook?

How are you, Phoenix? Any clue about a date yet?

Phoenix · 11/06/2009 17:30

Actually yes .

I've just got back from the consultant. They are going to try break my waters at 38wks and see what happens that way, obviously once the waters are gone and i don't go into labour it would be another emerg c-section, but they might not be able to break them anyway. If not then i have an elective booked for the week after, 10th July

OP posts:
wotulookinat · 11/06/2009 17:32

The end is in sight, eh?

hiccymapops · 12/06/2009 07:59

I'm not on facebook Wot. Shelley told me about her dog he sounds gorgeous, i can't believe we had the same discussion with our other halves about changing our dogs name so we could use it for our boys Spooky!

Better get a wriggle on, i've got to pick mum up in an hour! Really shouldn't be on here

wotulookinat · 12/06/2009 09:19

I'm jealous that your mum is coming to see you! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that mine comes up soon.
