Hello everyone!!

I know there have been about 700000 million threads for Bath and Bristol, but everyone seems to have gone a bit quiet, so I took the liberty of starting yet another one!!! I think it's about time we sorted a meeting out, maybe we could sort something regular out so that people who can't make it the first time can come to subsequent meet ups etc. Any ideas?

Lots of love, Michelle and 12 week old Will xxx

sorry to hijack your thread - but I'm coming to Bath for the day on Friday to take my grandma out for birthday lunch. We need to find somewhere to go (with my 3 yr old boy) that isn't too far from train station. Anyone got any ideas? we're happy to hop in a cab, but don't want to get stuck in one way traffice for hours! We have only got 2.5 hours. Thanks massively if you can advise me!

well, the train station is right on the edge of town so you won't have to look too far. Are you looking for something posh or just a quick bite to eat?

Hi Distel, not posh (my grandma couldn't cope with that!) we were going to go to the Royal (wouldn't be my choice, but it's near and easy - but there are two coach parties there on Friday, so that's no good!)

So, the only other place I know in bath is pizza express or Caffe Uno....

She is a lady of simple tastes! fish cakes/baked pots/nice sandwiches...

You could try the Park Tavern on Park Lane, it's a short cab rid out of the station, and they do good honest food. Their phone no is 01225 425174. If you go, it's best to ring beforehand, just to make sure the kitchen is open.
