The Reebok bar is on the second floor of the building that Waitrose is in - turn right coming out of the lift or you will end up in the gym with the beautiful people! I'll plan to be there around 5.30 pm.

No current plans for dinner - thought we could head over to wagamama or gourmet burger kitchen or carluccios or something depending on who wants to hang around and how the mood takes us.

I'm not sure at the moment whether I can make it - it's DH's birthday weekend so we'll probably be heading out of town to visit the in-laws unfortunately (much as I love them, I can't believe I'm missing my first chance at MN drinks!).

If there's any plans for lunches or other drinks then keep me in the loop!

Yes, I'm still on for then, but I will have to sort out a babysitter so I might be a bit late. mm22bys has my mobile number so if she is there she can always text me if you move on before I arrive.

Will there definitely be food at some stage in the evening? (I could claim that my diabetes is the reason for asking, but the truth is that I'm such a lightweight with alcohol that I will get embarassingly drunk after only a couple of drinks on an empty stomach. )

yes, for exactly that reason - I can no longer spend an entire evening drinking without sustenance!

hello all

i'm really sorry but i have to bow out of this.

i have choir on a friday between 6.30 and 8.00 and so the very earliest i would be able to join you is 8.45pm. if you are meeting at 5.30pm i imagine some of you will be heading off by then! i considered turning up at 5.30pm but i'd only be able to stay a quarter of an hour before having to rush off!

in addition, there is a school event that night, at which i expect to do some valuable networking - an opportunity not to be passed up since i am job-hunting in the worst climate since 1929!

anyway, i don't think this one works for me, which is a shame as i was looking forward to it.

Bossykate, I don't finish work in South Ken until 5.30, so won't get to the bar until at least 6.30, which means I'll most likely be around until 9 or later, if you do fancy turning up.

less than brilliantly, I have gotten myself into a situation where I probably won't make it myself until 6 or 6.30pm. I think it would be helpful if people could post between now and tomorrow giving a rough ETA so that no-one is left waiting on their lonesome.......

I won't complain if tonight is postponed... my mind has been swaying all day but very much looking forward to a wine!! My baby has been sick all week - in hospital overnight on Monday and still keeping erratic hours.

I'll be there about six if it's happening .
