LouBeeLou · 08/03/2005 13:36

Just realised this is next week! Thought it was ages away!

Tetley · 08/03/2005 14:21

Fine by me! Looking forward to it.

Boogiebear · 10/03/2005 20:35

New on mumsnet but does anyone mind if I tag along? Have you all met before?

Tetley · 11/03/2005 09:31

Hi Boogiebear - welcome! The mre the merrier, so please come too!

Some of us have met before, but not all of us, so you certainly won't feel left out at all. We'd love to meet you.

Are you in Leeds?

Boogiebear · 11/03/2005 15:10

I am in north Leeds.

Tetley · 13/03/2005 20:45

Snap!! Well - I look forward to meeting you on Tuesday & can chat more then (sorry for delay in replying to your message but we've been away for the weekend & just got back)

Foz · 13/03/2005 21:22

Can I get some directions from Harroagate or a postal code? TIA. Looking forward to meeting you all!

LouBeeLou- do you want to drive together?

Foz

Tetley · 14/03/2005 08:57

It's on Shaw Lane in Headingley. Which way do you usually come to Leeds? A61 past Harewood, or through Pool in Wharfedale & then through Bramhope? Or any other way?

gingerbear · 14/03/2005 09:05

I had forgotten all about this. My sister's birthday, so we are going out Tuesday night.

Will be thinking of you - have a great night!

CookieMonster · 14/03/2005 11:30

Hello people, just dropping in briefly to let you know that I'm not going to be able to make it tomorrow night
I was hit for six last Wednesday by a nasty flu virus which has had me in bed for most of the last 5 days ... I've just come back from the doctor who said I'm over the worst but I've got to take it easy for a few more days.
I am so disappointed that I can't come - these Mumsnet nights out are something of a highlight in my pathetic social calendar - but I'll be there next time.
Tetley, so sorry about the lift - it'll be my turn again next time around.
Hope you all have a great evening and please raise a glass for me and send some 'good health' vibes my way!

Tetley · 14/03/2005 12:04

Poor you CM - don't worry about the lift it'll do me good to drive (or I might get the bus down!)

I hope you feel better soon & we'll have to arrange another night out

Hiya YG! Are you back online? How's your dd? Is she completely better now?

LouBeeLou · 14/03/2005 13:05

Can anyone give directions from Harrogate?

Foz - might not be a good idea to arrange to share this time, sorry, not being funny but I have a heavy college day on Weds so I will probably slink off early and leave you all having fun......

Tetley · 14/03/2005 13:10

LBL - which way do you come into Leeeds? If you tell me that then I can give you directions. Probably easiest like this so I know where you know - IYKWIM.

Tetley · 14/03/2005 13:11

Er - think I got carried away with my 'e's! That should be Leeds

YG - yes, I'm coming!

LouBeeLou · 14/03/2005 13:45

coming in on the A61

Tetley · 14/03/2005 14:18

OK then - when you get to the ring road turn right (probably signposted to Horsforth, Bradford...)

Then straight across next roundabout & straight at traffic lights (Sainsburys & Homebase on your right at these lights).
Then straight at next lights. Then get to a big roundabout - turn left (signed A660 to Headingley, city centre).

Keep on going for a couple of miles down here, through far Headingley. You'll get to some traffic lights where there's a row of shops & restaurants on your right (Salvo's & Dynasty are the restaurants. Turn left here, down Grove Lane. after 20 yards the round bends round to the right, but there is alaso another road which goes straight on. Go down here - this is Shaw Lane(effectively turning left off the main road). Sala Thai is jsut along here on the left - it's a big old house, & there is a sign for it at the entrance.

I hope this makes sense! If not - let me know & I'll try to make it clearer

Foz · 14/03/2005 15:12

No problem LBL.

Tetley - thanks for the directions... I'll be coming from the A61.

See you all tomorrow!

Foz

CarrieG · 14/03/2005 20:25

Me too...ta for directions!

Tetley · 14/03/2005 21:06

The left turn at the last lot of traffic lights is actually signed 'Shaw Lane' rather than 'Grove Lane' - checked when I went past on the bus tonight! It is a Baskind chemist on the corner where you turn in front of. Hope this helps (& please don't blame me if you get lost )

Secur - are you all sorted out for a lift there with YG? If you're stuck then let me know as my house is your house IYKWIM!! I'll check on here tomorrow while I'm still at work......

Jacksmummie · 14/03/2005 22:03

Awww, damn, i have missed out on this,i'm new here you see, only just seen it! I'm in Bradford and would have loved to come. I'll keep a look out ofr your next meet. It is open to anyone isn't it?
