I feel like a night out with the mums again...anyone fancy a meal in Putney/Richmond/thereabouts sometime in February? Anyone welcome!

I'll probably book the restaurant later this week for Sat 22nd so could you all let me know if you can still come and a) if Tapestry is alright for everyone b) is 7.30pm OK or would you prefer 8pm? Thanks.

8 is better for me.

PS: Thanks for lovely afternoon Fionn.

SofiaAmes · 11/02/2003 00:25

Any time is ok for me. What kind of food is Tapestry and where is Mortlake?

willow2 · 11/02/2003 22:03

Food is gastro pub style stuff. Mortlake is between Richmond and Barnes if you follow the river - basically it's the other side of the railway line to East Sheen (which is between Putney and Richmond). Mortlake station is actually on Sheen Lane (!)

bossykate · 12/02/2003 06:35

tapestry is fine for me. 8pm is marginally better time wise. thanks again for organising this, fionn

bettys · 12/02/2003 10:59

Still coming, can be there sometime between 7.30-8.00, just to be vague. Looking forward to it, thanks Fionn!

tigermoth · 12/02/2003 11:18

still don't know for sure if I can make it, since I may be out of London during the day (also need to get hold of an overground map to see where Mortlake is exactly) Will get back to you as soon as I can, fionn.

Fionn · 12/02/2003 17:46

How about you Clucks, Batters, Scummymummy, CAM, Emmieswill, can you confirm yet? And anyone else...

I am able to come, nearer to 8pm. Does anyone know if it's easy to park near tapestry, otherwise I'll have to get a lift. Thanks for organising.

willow2 · 12/02/2003 23:29

Think there's on street parking at that time of night.

ScummyMummy · 12/02/2003 23:48

This has come round so quickly! I'd love to come but there may be a finance issue so I think I'd better echo Batters and cancel for the moment, though I also will certainly try begging for a place later if my ship (read wages!) come in.

Fionn · 14/02/2003 17:50

Right, I'll book it for 8pm but if anyone wants to get there for a drink at 7.30pm I could be persuaded! Definites apart from me are: willow2, clucks, bossykate, ks, Sofia and bettys. Possibles are Scummymummy, tigermoth and batters and probably nots are CAM and emmieswill from what I can make out. I'll book for 9 people just in case but if you possibles could confirm either way by middle of next week that would be great.

Sorry Fionn, I've had the outlaws here, so haven't been able to get my mumsnet fix for a few days. I'm not going to be able to make it - my brother has made arrangements for us all for Saturday. Maybe next time....
Or maybe I should try and arrange a Welsh mumsnet meetup - there's a few of us now, I think. I'll go and start a thread right now!

Fionn · 16/02/2003 17:55

willow2 - have you got a number for Tapestry? Just tried Google and got the Mortlake Tapestry made in the reign of James I...I'll do it the old-fashioned way and check the local phone book too but thought you might have it handy. Thanks!

CAM · 17/02/2003 10:49

Hello Fionn,I will not be able to make it this time, but hope you all have a lovely evening!

tigermoth · 17/02/2003 20:23

fionn, sorry, can't make this one either - my day plans look like running into the evening. Next time hopefully.

Fionn · 17/02/2003 21:07

tigermoth, CAM, emieswill, sorry you can't make it. For the rest of you, I've booked a table under my real name for 8 people at 8pm. Their no. is 8878 7177, no. 1 Lower Richmond Road, Mortlake.

willow2 · 18/02/2003 10:17

Sorry I didn't get back to you with the number Fionn - was away over weekend. Drove past this morning and you can park on the road after 6.30 (single yellows). For anyone coming by train you come out of the station on to Sheen Lane and follow the road around to your left (so you are walking away from the shops). This will take you past Mortlake Green on your left and a brewery on your right. (You can cut across the green if you want). The road curves around to your left and Tapestry is a couple of minutes down the road - on the left. Look forward to seeing everyone!

SofiaAmes · 18/02/2003 21:41

Does anyone need a ride? I will be coming from NW10 harlesden.

NQWWW · 19/02/2003 16:17

Got space for one more? I'm a newcomer, but would love to come if you don't mind...

willow2 · 19/02/2003 16:53

absolutely - everyone welcome, the more the merrier....

That was ok for me to say that wasn't it Fionn?

Fionn · 19/02/2003 19:01

You beat me to it willow2! It will be lovely to see a new face NQWWW - you're very welcome. I don't decide these things, I just book the restaurant! I'd booked for 8 people anyway even though there were only 7 definites, so now we're 8. If Batters or Scummymummy or anyone else can suddenly come at the last minute I'm sure it won't be a problem for the pub if I let them know by Sat morning.

NQWWW · 20/02/2003 20:21

Great - I will see you there.
