Hi

I'm in East Sheen - I haven't posted much but I guess I'm just a little shy

dancer77 · 03/02/2005 23:52

I'm in Cheam but Wimbledon, Raynes Park is close, even East Sheen is not too far.

Cristina7 · 04/02/2005 00:00

I'm in Wimbledon too (Lake Rd). I have a son aged 5 and I'm going on maternity leave at the end of this month. Expecting a baby girl. I'd like to meet up with others too. I don't drive, so somewhere within public transport reach would be best for me.

cottonball · 07/02/2005 13:05

CountessDracula · 08/02/2005 12:42

Really MoggyMummy? Whereabouts? We must meet up!

MoggyMummy · 08/02/2005 13:24

CountessDracula
Yes I am really in East Sheen - well not at this precise moment
I live very close to the Tower House School. I would love to meet up - I missed the Xmas bash (bloody typical really - I joined Mumsnet a couple of days after it happened - sigh!).
Anyway - I have a DS who will be 2.5 in March. I work full time - so only evening meetups are possible. What about you?

CountessDracula · 08/02/2005 13:38

Aha, I live in the bit between Sheen Lane and Barnes. Not far. Plus my dd is 2.5 as well - we really must get together. Do you go to Mortlake Hall? We may already have met!

CountessDracula · 08/02/2005 13:38

Oh and I work f/t too at the moment. Not for long I hope to go down to 4 days soon.

MoggyMummy · 08/02/2005 13:57

DS goes to nursery in Richmond. I work in Richmond too - so it is extremely easy to manage.

I'm jealous that you will be cutting down your days - I would love to do that too (am giving it serious consideration) - DS would probably still go to nursery on that day so I could get a day to myself! selfish me .

We haven't been to Mortlake Hall - however I've probably bumped into you at the local Waitrose (literally).

MoggyMummy · 08/02/2005 14:11

Perhaps we should have a SW London meetup fairly soon-ish then. I would love to meet you CD and other mums in the area.

loom · 10/02/2005 23:20

Hi! Please can you tell me of excellent full and part time daycare/ childcare/ nurseries (take babies 9 months+) close to Putney/ Roehampton ? - Sadly must return to work soon and am keen to hear of others experiences of nurseries! I would also be interested to hear if anyone has any comments about the 'Happy Times' Nurseries?

cas73 · 12/02/2005 16:33

Good to see some more Wimbledon mnetters!!!
I'm away for a few weeks, but would love to meet up when I come back. Will keep checking this thread.....

Cristina7 · 13/02/2005 11:18

Is anyone free and willing to meet sometime next week (half-term) in Wimbledon? We're busy on Tuesday but otherwise free after 1 pm. As for places: Debenham's restaurant, the coffee place in W'don Centre Court, coffee shop in Books etc, Starbucks, other suggestions? I have a 5 year old and am 35 weeks pg.

Loom - no idea about nurseries in Putney/Roehampton. In Wimbledon at least there are far more nowadays than 4-5 years ago when we were first looking for one for DS (now 5), I expect they've been cropping up everywhere due to demand and the fact it must be such a lucrative business too. I visited quite a few before deciding on one. Have you started visiting yet?

Willow2 · 13/02/2005 11:38

Another East Sheen-ite here.

fisil · 13/02/2005 12:05

Cristina, that's a good idea. Pamina, Cas, Sophable, anyone else?
