I'm misserable. I keep getting excited seeing mnetters in SW London, until I realise I don't live there any more. I miss Tooting (and Putney, and Balham, and Roehampton)

noddyholder · 13/02/2005 12:52

Niddlynono · 13/02/2005 13:31

I'm another Mumsnet rookie with a 2 year old son in Raynes Park. Would love to hook up with other local mums.

Are you going to W'don Park this coming week? I'll be there 10-11.50 for DS's football, apart from Tuesday. Could stay longer either before or after the football.

RudyDudy · 13/02/2005 17:45

Another SWer here - I'm in Earlsfield.

Am starting to learn Spanish cottonball so perhaps we could meet up and you could help me out!

lockets - are you still on for meeting up this wednesday?

Hola RudyDuddy and hello everyone else, i see this thread has really developed!!!! as i said before i just moved to Wandsworth Common, recently, on the 1st of Jan, to be precise! Would love to meet up someone, as i don't know anyone around here. in fact, haven't got many friends with babies for Charlie to play with, my other two daughters are 11 and 8, so din't get so involved this time when i was pregnant, as i had done it all before. Now i feel guilty i didn't, so will do my best to start socialicing like a proper mummy . Hope to hear from someone soon, but i think this week, half term, i'll give meeting you a miss, as i had a few commitments already, but maybe the week after......

dancer77 · 14/02/2005 00:14

I'm up for meting too whenever you do

cas73 · 14/02/2005 10:04

I'm out of the country for another 3 weeks. See you all when I come back (I hope!!!)

CountessDracula · 14/02/2005 10:26

Yes I am up for it too.

I am around some of the w/c 28/2 as dd is starting nursery and has her settling week then. I could do lunch one day maybe or should I have a coffee morning?!!>!>> OMG wouldn't that be hilarious!

decmum · 14/02/2005 10:53

I'd be up for it but don't suppose a weekend is a possibility....say Wimbledon Pk Pavilion?

MintyGirl · 14/02/2005 13:49

Wow - good to see so many people are nearby I haven't had a chance to get back on here since I posted the original message.

I would be up for meeting most Wednesdays or Fridays, but I'm going to have to sit out of anything for the next couple of weeks as ds has managed to catch chickenpox ... unless anyone wants a chickenpox part

Decmum - weekends would be fine for us too if nearby (like W'don Park Pavilion).

CD - I'm on maternity leave starting 28/2 so anytime (before 3.20) should be fine. I don't drive so somewhere easily accessible by public transport & walking etc. Which nursery is your daughter going to? My DS went to Playdays and loved it there.

Lockets - yes, my DS is doing the football course with AFC Wimbledon in W'don Park this week. He's there for the 10-11.50 am programme, although they also do 10am-3pm. They are running a similar scheme during Easter holidays too and he'll be going then as well, also for just the 2 hours. It was freezing cold today. We used to take him to a football course organised on Wandsworth Common, it was probably better than this one now (today there were 2 instructors for about 30 children aged 5+), but we feel an obligation of loyalty towards AFC W'don who we support as our football team. It's also much closer to home so DS met up with a few children from his school.

MintyGirl - I hope your DS gets over the chickenpox quickly. Mine got away with just a few spots and hardly any grumpiness at all.

Niddlynono · 14/02/2005 16:08

Thanks Lockets. Let me know when you move.

Since there seem to be a few Wimbledon mums, do any of you use the creche at Centre Court? My DS loves it there and I can't recommend it enough. He gets to play with his 'friends' while I can visit every changing room in town without the stress of having a bored toddler with me. Heaven.

RudyDudy · 15/02/2005 20:54

lockets - haven't received a CAT from you. Am still around tomorrow if you want to meet. Hope DD is feeling better.

dinny · 15/02/2005 21:26

I'm around too, RudyDudy, could do with some cheering up this week. Have you heard from Lockets? Anyone else fancy meeting?

RudyDudy · 15/02/2005 21:36

Sorry to hear that Dinny . Haven't heard from lockets. Do you have a contact for her? I'm happy for you to suggest a time and place (I'm new to this meeting up lark so will be the shy looking person skulking about!)

RudyDudy · 15/02/2005 21:39

Am off for an early night but will check in the morning. Or feel free to CAT me. RDxxx

dinny · 15/02/2005 21:40
