Just moved to worcester - don't know anyone, but would love to meet mums who don't think with their uterus (there ARE other topics of conversation although, I must admit, since having two children I can't for the life of me remember what any of them are...), love the odd (or even!) G&T and were perhaps wild childs before mother hood got the better of them.... Rachelx

Nope. I'm 22 (but look and feel ancient). Ailsa and Georgina are both in their 30's. Helen is mid 20's. HTH

Re writing an article. You could ask via MN. If you email [email protected] explain what you want to do and they will give you permission to use MN for professional research purposes .

Friday 11th March is good for me - have diaried it. Shall we say at the Nightingale then?

NameChangingMancMidlander · 01/02/2005 14:09

If you like .

Gumdrop · 01/02/2005 14:10

And the local yokel is in her very late thirties. So no, Rats, you won't be the oldest...

You know when you're getting sensitive about your age when you find yourself shouting at the Retinol A adverts "Oh, for the love of mike, why does it matter if I have a wrinkle. Will the world end, etc etc". I could well be on my way to being a grumpy old woman

Sorry,NCMM,I like my useful, practical Focus very much - but it is just a little bit..........boring?

NameChangingMancMidlander · 01/02/2005 14:12

Lol ! I love mine, it's got a decent amount of poke and there plenty of room in it for the rabble.

NameChangingMancMidlander · 01/02/2005 14:13

Gummy, I'm sure I started an 'Oi Gumdrop' type thread for you when I spotted you moved up this way, and you ignored it

Gumdrop · 01/02/2005 14:22

Sorry - nothing personal, must have been having one of my intermittent "You really should do some shopping / writing presentation on fascinating nuances of tax for firm rather than spending your lunch surfing MN phases.

NameChangingMancMidlander · 01/02/2005 14:23

Lol, I know.

No prob .

Casmie · 02/02/2005 10:36

Just realised that the 11th is Comic Relief Day - does this affect the decision at all?

NameChangingMancMidlander · 02/02/2005 10:38

not for me.

Ailsa · 02/02/2005 13:16

11th March it is then.

NCMM is right that I'm in my 30's, but I'm at the top end (38)

NameChangingMancMidlander · 02/02/2005 14:31
Wink
NameChangingMancMidlander · 08/02/2005 11:04

Bumping for Cinnamon, who has just let on that she's a fellow Worcester mum . Everyone still on for this ?

Casmie · 08/02/2005 12:32

Yep. I will post directions to the Nightingale nearer the time. What's the best start time - 7.30 ish? or nearer 8?

There might be a slight issue of it being a friday night and not being able to book a table at the Nightingale though, depending on how many we have coming.

Rats · 09/02/2005 11:24

I'm definitely still in. It'll be my first night out in, oooh, two years or so. Damn kids! Might not be able to make it too late, what with a fitfull 3month-old and husband who never hears him in the middle of the night - conveniently...

OP posts:
Gumdrop · 09/02/2005 12:01

Yes, still in as well.

If the Nightingale is likely to get busy, should we say earlier rather than later - 7.30 or even 7.00?

Yorkiegirl - GeorginaA is now Casmie

NameChangingMancMidlander · 09/02/2005 12:58

Earlier is fine for me, although I'd prefer 7.30 as I'm designated driver and I'll need time to collect, as well as get kids to bed, placate DH and get ready

Casmie · 09/02/2005 13:39

Okay, 7.30pm it is!

Hello Yorkiegirl, yes, it's me! Sorry to confuse...

the nightingale don't take bookings for parties less than 10. getting a table shouldn't be too much of a prob though on a fri (no doubt i've jinxed that, now...)

Cinnamon · 10/02/2005 15:28

Hi there
Thanks for the tip Namechangingmacmidlander.... It's my wedding anniversary on the 9th and after extensive planning on both work issues and child care, dh has agreed to take me away... and that's the night (11th). So sorry about that - but will keep my eye on future meet ups.
