Hi i'm 20 year old with two DS aged 17 months and 1 month so life is pretty hectic.
I'm from Fife but finding it impossible to find anyone else from here online!!!
I'd really like to make some new friends online as i don't have many friends my age, as none of them have children, so don't realise how all consuming they are!!!!
Due to this i get quite lonely and down at times.
so if anybody out there feels the same or just wants to chat...please do!

Hey Jen 84. i know exactly how you feel. Im 20 and come from East Kilbride just down from glasgow. My DD is 8+months and slowly but surely all my mates dropped me through my pregnancy. wasnt out as much and no1 came over. Well we should be proud of what we have achieved for the fact that all the folks we used to talk to have gone but weve coped and have wonderful kids for it. My DP is the same as yours if its not cars its X Boxs games. I get a bit jealous when hes off out wi his mates getting drunk. feel a bit like a glorified baby sitter! I used to be gossip queen of my area but now i know nothing and therefor have nothing to talk about but baby stuff, which makes it harder to meet new mates aswell. Saying that i wouldnt change DD for the world. She keeps me going. Sorry ive rambleed its just refreshing knowing im not alone - there's others in the same boat.

Hi, I'm from Ayrshire. I have two kids. I am 23 and planning my wedding next year. If any mums of any age fancy online chats I'm usually online most lunchtimes when my little one is asleep. Yes I know I'm a young mommy but I love it!

weesaidie · 21/03/2005 14:47

Hey guys

I am also a young mum and I also love it! Am 23 and dd is 11months...

CherryEm, it is difficult to keep up with mates isn't it when they are partying and you are changing nappies!! It is all worthwhile though, I try to get out and about when my ExP has dd but it's not the same!

Kidstrack, congrats on ur wedding! I am happy to chat, not always online at lunchtime (money money money!)but my wee one sleeps then too so am sometimes... also some evenings!

weesaidie · 21/03/2005 14:49

Plus I don't really know what it means to 'CAT' someone but it seems to be what people say when they want yo chat... so feel free to CAT me!

weesaidie · 21/03/2005 14:49

Ah ha, it means contact another talker....

babaworshipper · 21/03/2005 15:16

I am mum to Emily 10 months and have just resigned from my job last week huzzah!

weesaidie · 21/03/2005 21:37

babawhorshipper - I am an Edinburgh mum! My dd is 11 months...

I am also unemployed at the moment! But going back to Uni in Oct...

How are you finding life as a mamma?

Kidstrack2 · 21/03/2005 22:36

Cheers weesaidie, Its really good this site, just found it this morning. I'm a stay at home mom my son is 5 and my daughter is 21 months. Had my son when I was just 17 but coped well enough to have another. I just love kids any age any size. They grow up too fast. My husband to be works hard as a heating engineer, We have been together from school nearly ten years nxt year!

weesaidie · 23/03/2005 18:19

Kidstrack - sorry to take so long to reply, haven't been online recently!

I just discovered mumsnet a couple of weeks ago and not knowing any other mums it is very reassuring!

My wee girl is lovely mostly but at the moment she is v up and down with her sleep pattern. One day she wakes up at 8am, another at 6am then 6.45am! I don't mind getting up early I just never know how early it will be! V frustrating!

I try to get out as much as I can (just never with any other mummies!) and we have a lot of cinemas in Edinburgh that do carer and baby screenings in the morning so you can take the wee ones in with you! Fantastic.

Must be fun planning your wedding (so sweet u guys have been together so long!), I am helping with my cousins at the moment but she isn't getting married for two years so there isn't much to do!!

What do you get up to in Ayrshire?

weesaidie · 23/03/2005 18:21

Babaworshipper?

You still around?

If you are still off you should get yourself to the carer and baby screenings they have in Edinburgh... they are great!

tassis · 23/03/2005 18:22

weesaidie, would you mind telling me which cinemas do carer and baby screenings? Thanks!

tassis · 23/03/2005 18:22

(in Edinburgh that is!!)

weesaidie · 23/03/2005 18:28

No problem tassis, I am an expert, me and dd spend half the week at the cinema!

Okay, the Filmhouse do one every other Monday at 10.30am (think they had one this week)
the Odeon (Lothian Rd) do one on Tuesday also at 10.30 every week.
Ster Century every Wednesday at 11.30 and finally
the Cameo at 10.30 every Thursday.

I like the cameo best as it has a lovely relaxed atmosphere (plus free tea/coffee) but they are all good. Cameo has Napoleon Dynamite on tomorrow then Vanity Fair next week (sorry I have the programme right here!)...

If you come, look out for me I am small and look about 12 (oh okay 16 then) with the cutest dd ever ! Am often with a crazy blonde who has the great fortune of being being my sister!

tassis · 23/03/2005 19:15

Thanks weesaidie, so how does it work - are there todlers running around or just serene babes lying in their mother's arms?

SleepyJess · 23/03/2005 19:24

Are English, Irish or any other ..ish mums being excluded?! (I'm kidding btw.. carry on.. sorry.. )

weesaidie · 23/03/2005 20:08

All sorts of wee ones, most are under a year but there are always some toddlers.

My dd is nearly one so is often crawling around the aisles! It is generally a little loud and hectic but you can still hear the film (mostly!) and people are v relaxed and friendly.

PS, it is two adults to one little 'un so you can bring a childless friend if any can take it!

CherryEm · 24/03/2005 11:22

Kidstrack. Hey i'm in the middle of organising my wedding for july this year. so bloody stressful! but im told thats normal, people refer to the bride as Bridezilla but I'm fine its the Bridesmaid Rexs that are causing all the havoc at my end! I'm only 20 so its dead scary but people are forgetting about me cos my MIL is so down on my SIL2B she is petrified of wearing a dress. i suppose its worth it tho...

CherryEm · 24/03/2005 11:25

Emily is a great name to call your DD mine is 81/2 months

DixiExpat · 24/03/2005 20:57

i am indeed still around! Hopeless at this site so far, no idea that I had to add the thread to my watch list instead of being automatically sent notification of replies. thanks for the cinema lists wee sadie! I didn't know ster did a screening.

Life as a mama is great! I am in trinity and there are tons of stuff to do round here, I just have probs getting off my ass and out the door on time for them, specially in the mornings

babaworshipper · 26/03/2005 21:24

Forgot to mention I am an ancient 31.
Also a cloth nappy, baba slinging ap kind of mum.

Have I scared you all off me yet!

I look quite normal really , and I was a business analyst before going the way of the baba so not a bark eating hippy (yet anyway) No offence to any bark eating hippies by the way, I am just not one of them!
