pedilia · 01/03/2005 21:20

hi ems1- welcome to cambridge

cazzybabs · 01/03/2005 21:41

Ems1 anything at Romsey mill is good - but I guess it is the wrong side of town for you. We go to baby singing at St. Johns on Hills rd on Tues 2.15-3, its drop in and its £3 a go and baby massage at Hartington grove is also excellent you have to book a set of classes at £7 for 1 and half hours a time - but again these might all be the wrong side of town. Do you drive? Birthlights swimming classes are good but expensive (haven't been myself).

pedilia · 01/03/2005 21:42

hi cazzybabs-poor you going back to work, hope you get on ok.

cazzybabs · 01/03/2005 21:45

Well the good news is my boss is away next week ! The bad news is I have to teach all her lessons.

Nome · 01/03/2005 23:11

Hi Ems, I'm just off Arbury Road. There's a nice baby and toddler group at the Arbury Road Baptist church on Wednesday mornings, there's a groups at the Good Shepherd on Mansel Way on Friday mornings, there is baby and toddler stuff at the Arbury Community Centre (by Colleges nursery oppo the yellow doc surgery) but I don't know what days, Kings Hedges is a SureStart area and the Health visitors have a list of stuff. I'd start at the abury Baptist Group at the town end of Arbury Road - there are lots of mums there with little babies - it's not all toddlers charging around, and it's free. There are more groups in town and out of Cambridge. Bumps and Babies on Fridays might be good for your baby's age-range as well.
HTH,
Naomi

Nome, know Arbury Road, have done a gardening job there and Mulberry Close too... has anything been settled then...if not maybe we could meet on the green, for a picnic in a couple of months....

Hi everybody!

Just found this website and would love to meet up with other mums in the area.
I moved to Cherry Hinton last April and don't know that many other mums. Anyone fancy meeting up for a coffee and a chat?

Just out of interest, how old are you other mums out there? I never seem to meet any mums around my age (23)..not that it matters too much, would love to meet up anyway!!

Caribbeanqueen · 06/03/2005 21:13

Hi Fran, welcome to mumsnet! There are some Cambs mumsnetters who are your age. I'm not one of them, but I'm sure they'll be arund to say hello soon!

csa · 07/03/2005 14:31

Hi you four!
I know what you mean about feeling closer to 80 Pedilia..I actually catch myself saying things like..'oh, my knees' now!!

Would really like to meet up with you all at some point.
Off to Twycross zoo tomo..not sure whether my little girl will be that interested yet, but I'll enjoy giggling at the monkeys!

cazzybabs · 07/03/2005 19:35

Work was alright - well I had to get up early. It was strange - like I had never been away. I only cried for about an hour!

I had my 1st when I was 23 - I didn't meet anyone my age either - very strange. I am a now older, wiser (???), fatter ( ) 26! I would love to meet up too - easter hols - 2 weeks (hint hint)!

pedilia · 07/03/2005 20:41
