Hi Breeze, as you probably can gather trying to get together at some point if you are up for it!

How you doing today Gem?

Gem1355 · 14/01/2005 20:19

Hi everyone,
So glad the weekind is finally here, just chilling out at the mo as got backache so just running a bath.

Got given loads of baby clothes today, got so many baby has got got bigger wardrobe than me and baby girl's not even here yet!!!!

Puddytats bet your counting down the days till your trip away?

Wish it was me i'm counting down till maternity leave!!!

OP posts:
puddytats · 15/01/2005 18:57

Evening

Trip away has been delayed a week!! My father has decided to completly fluff up the dates and the only reason we found out was cause I needed the number of the airline to find out if I needed a Drs note to fly!!

It now looks like we will have to take ds with us as mil is unable to get the time of work that week to look after him! My perfect last holiday is slowly going down the pan!

I can remember that feeling of counting the days. Got all ds's little clothes out the attic this week to see what was suitable for a litttle girl! Would have been so much easier - and cheaper - if another boy!

Gem1355 · 15/01/2005 20:46

Oh no sorry to hear about your holiday, but it should be fun, i don't think you need drs notes to fly, we checked as i was supposed to be going to South Africa on the 29th Jan and South African airways said no need!
But my dad said he didn't want me to as i'd be 31 weeks when we go.

I was wondering if you had n e advice, as for the past 2 weeks my hair and scalp have become very dry and itchy, i've never had bad hair like this before, and it's driving me crazy, tried switching shampoo to sensitive skin but still nothing, N e suggestions?

How R u feeling today?

OP posts:
puddytats · 15/01/2005 20:51

I have heard that itchy skin can happen in pregnancy but it is nothing that I have experienced so far. All I can suggest is an anti-allergy shampoo or maybe even baby shampoo which is very gentle and will put the moisture back in? I always Boots own baby Excema shampoo on ds as it seems to do the trick (he suffers a little from this)

Not feeling too bad today, am suffering very badly from sciatica at the mo which is causing a lot of pain - just what you need when chasing a 1 year old round the house!!

How are you - how are things going with baby's father?

Gem1355 · 15/01/2005 20:58

Hi

Well me and jamie (baby's dad) r going to have a chat one evening next week just us, as i need to get things sorted as it's driving me mad.
he's in Amsterdam at the moment for his future BIL stag weekend, so i'll talk to him about what he wants when he's back, he's living in an ideal world where he's thinking because we are not in a relationship it's not right, he said to me his first born should be the most special event in his life, but this is and he doesn't want to know so i have to see what he wants because he's condradicting himself.

How long have you had sciatica for?
How is DS knowing he has a baby sister on the way?

OP posts:
puddytats · 15/01/2005 21:07

I have had sciatica since bout 13weeks gone and it has steadily got worse. At the mo having physio every week and having to wear a tubi-grip all day round hips and stomach - as you can imagine not the most comfortable thing for a pregnant woman! The are likely to fit me with a pelvic belt next week as not a lot seems to be working!

Ds not realising what is going on, everytime we mention 'mummys baby' he points to himself so I don't have the heart to stop him at the moment. I think 1 is a little young to completly understand anyway.

Do you want Jamie back full time after all that has happened? Whatever you decide to do, don't rush anything. If the relationshop is right then you will have the rest of your lives together anf you still have plenty of time to sort things before baby is born.

Have you thought of any names yet?

Gem1355 · 15/01/2005 21:16

I don't want a relationship with him, but i want his son/daughter to!

I'm seeing a nice man at the moment anyway, and he's excited about the baby.

If i have a boy the full name i have is:
Charlie David Donald Port

For a girl the full name is:
Darcie Maxine Port

Have you got any names yet?

puddytats · 15/01/2005 21:20

Good for you. I am a great believer in parents not staying together simply for the sake of the children (however that is just personal opinion). It is amazing how babies and children can pick up on atmosphere and bad vibes.

If it is a boy: Hugo Martin Hutchings
If it is a girl: Verity Evelyn Hutchings

I gave dh no choice if it was a boy last time so he got to make the decision on them both this tme -only fair I suppose!!

It is next week you are free for meeting up and if so do you still fancy it?

Gem1355 · 15/01/2005 21:41

I love the name Verity!

And yes it's either tuesday, or any afternoon as i finish work at 3pm everyday.

I'm still up for meeting. When's the best time for you and where do you fancy meeting?

OP posts:
puddytats · 15/01/2005 21:46

Tuesday is still good for me. I am happy to come over to Portsmouth or we could meet somewhere in the middle (not sure where tho!!) Am free all day Tuesday so will take the opportunity to shop somewhere larger than Chichester - not difficult!

Do you fancy coffee, lunch etc and just let me know where over there and I can get there, as I said earlier I know then main areas but not much more than that so will rely on your better judgement!!

Gem1355 · 15/01/2005 21:47

Welllet me know wheres easier for you coz i drive to so i can almost any where?

i'm up for lunch and tea!!!

OP posts:
puddytats · 15/01/2005 21:52

A well signposted place is the best for me - my sense of direction as awful!! Either the town centre of somewhere like gunwharf would be best as dh can give me clear instructions on how to get there!

I can get over mid to late morning and we could go from there?

My email address is [email protected], if you email me there i will give you my mobile number. A little cautious bout giving that info out over an open site like this!

Gem1355 · 15/01/2005 21:55

Okay, thanx!

OP posts:
Gem1355 · 15/01/2005 21:59

OP posts:
puddytats · 15/01/2005 22:05

Gem1355 · 17/01/2005 16:06

Hi how r u today?

OP posts:
puddytats · 17/01/2005 19:38

Hi

Not too bad, had to get some stronger painkillers from the Dr as spent the weekend in agony so hopefully they will help!

I might have my sister with me tomorrow (hoping not to but might be something i can't avoid!) Hope that is not a problem?

How are you feeling, have you managed to have that chat with Jamie yet?
