So who can make it tomorrow morning to Cheeky Monkeys then?
I'll be there at 10.30 and I believe Knickers will as well. Hopefully Twigy will be there - dependent on her hubby being home or not. GingerMonkey will pop in at midday, at least to give us a wave, if not to join us for a cuppa.
Justabout is hoping to come - I need to remind her in the real world as she is still abstaining from MN for Lent.
Trace, can you make it? Let me know if you can and I'll bring the walker.
Knickers, I shall bring the bits and bobs for you too.
Come on, I need some human company before the inlaws come for the weekend!

Good evening!! No playing for me tomorrow as my back is really bad again GP has upped the painkillers and given me some anti inflammatory tablets, but I'm still in agony. Someone from the Pain clinic - think she's an osteopath is coming to see me tomorrow morning so I am just hoping that she can magically click something into place I really thought it was getting better at the start of the week

itsahardknocklife · 14/02/2008 18:53

Oh dear, poor you Fatzak. Sending healing thoughts your way

Good on you, Knickers. Which charity is it for?

Say hi to Justabout for me. I've definitely noted her absence...it feels weird. Tell her I'm missing her insults!

MmeCellophane · 14/02/2008 19:02

Fatzak - fingers crossed for you tomorrow.

I'm hoping to come along, need some adult company!!

Sorry to hear about your back fatzak, I suffer terribly too, have been going to see a chiropractor for ages, really good but really expensive! I suppose these alternative things are good as long as you get someone who knows what they are doing

Well done knickers for cancer charity work. I always have noble intentions to do something like that but never get round to doing anything, you have my respect.

Looking forward to seeing people tomorrow

itsahardknocklife · 14/02/2008 19:37

Brilliant, Norwich - looking forward to seeing you.
Good on you for the charity work, Knickers

Phoenix · 14/02/2008 20:11

Hi

Don't think Trace will be going tomorow, read this

I can't make it either as dh is off so we're off shopping

Phoenix · 14/02/2008 20:36

So that's a thing itsa and knickers until we know any different i would be tempted not to go to the pool we gave you the phone no for last week as it seems a bit coincidental to us that both our ds' have had a prob with their feet the day after swimming there.

Twigy · 14/02/2008 20:36

Gawd poor Trace, I hope you and your little one are feeling better Phoenix.

Think I will make it in the morning, DH is home and is working in the morning!!! Poor fella is knackered.

itsahardknocklife · 14/02/2008 21:19

Oh my god - poor Trace and her son. After watching you go through it last week, Phoenix. Please do send her our love and keep us informed.

Twigy - see you in the morning. My little man has been sleeping more or less all the time since this afternoon. Hopefully he'll be well enough for CM tomorrow. DP might bring him for a bit if he isn't up to a long time and I'll stay for human company prior to the inlaws coming. AAAAArrrrrgggghhhhh! (Maybe they'd like to go swimming... )

fatzak · 14/02/2008 22:06

Send my best wishes to Trace won't you Phoenix? Do you think it was something to do with levels of chlorine? Have you managed to get hold of them yet?

Twigy · 14/02/2008 22:21

I,d really want to get that pool investigated

NorwichMummy · 14/02/2008 22:36

Poor Trace, send her my best Phoenix, that is just awful. I hope you manage to get the pool investigated after both your ds' being ill

Phoenix · 15/02/2008 08:58

We're both positive its the pool or at least round the pool but the docs won't believe trace they've kept her ds in hospital cos they think its some sort of arthiritis or a break. She was hoping to be home today but she just texted and docs have said no he needs to stay in on meds. Trace is very frustrated that they won't bloody listen about the pool

ItsPotatoesForYouMyLad · 15/02/2008 10:29

phoenix, is trace's ds at same hospital your ds went to? can't they (won't they?) cross check notes? i'm not medical, but wonder whether trace's dd is some how less sensitive to bacteria type infections cos she's already had so much hospital treatment etc.

am bored today (half term fatigue!!). wish i'd read thread last night

Phoenix · 15/02/2008 10:44

They just won't believe her pots. She was talking to a nurse who remembers lewis who's said he will try back her up that jack is the same. Chloe wasn't walking round the pool like lewis and jack were so we think its something round the pool rather than in it.

Phoenix · 15/02/2008 10:46

Oh and yes they both at Barnsley hospital.

Gingermonkey · 15/02/2008 11:59

Phoenix - that sounds awful. When I was seeing a dermatologist at hudds she said swimming pools were the worst places for breeding all kinds of bacteria. I wasn't allowed to go swimming at all because she told me the eczema that was on my feet that had got infected (I couldn't walk either - it was horrible) could get more infected and I would end on a drip in hospital. It's the warm, moist air, and around the pools are worse than in them.

How is L now? If he gets any scabbing or sores I have the number of a brilliant podiatrist in Wakefield who sorted out my feet, and they were really bad (it took 3 GPS, a dermatologist and finally the podiatrist to get it sorted - and was about a year in total). Poor Trace - I bet she's fuming (I would be)

fatzak · 15/02/2008 12:18

Morning stranger GM how are you?

Well, I've just had a visit from someone from the pain clinic who I thought was going to prod and poke my back. Turns out she is a practioner of this Sounds interesting and I'm certainly open for having a go!

Gingermonkey · 15/02/2008 12:42

I'm very well, fatzak. Half term - so I'm rushing around like a looney most of the time!
That looks interesting - and like you say, you should try anything once!!!!
