I am.

Gingermonkey · 06/02/2008 20:38

not me either, meeting babybuftersnappies (aka sausagebuttymonster) at leapfrogs tomorrow (and cheekymonkeys with hardknock fri - check me out, busy bee )

Trace - for DD. At least she's still little so she doesn't understand, and if she has to keep having tests as she gets older she will be used to it, so it won't upset her like it would if she'd never had any before. Small consolation, if any though . I hope you're ok too.

yep - no children though. DS is at nursery, and DD (obv) at school. Thought I'd pop in and say hi before I go and get her from school and drop off some bits for hardknock.

NorwichMummy · 06/02/2008 21:13

Sorry to hear about DD Trace, I hope everything goes well tomorrow, my thoughts are with you x

Twigy · 06/02/2008 21:23

Trace hope everything is ok

Phoenix · 06/02/2008 21:29

Has anyone been to NRM, York when Thomas The Tank Engine is there? Is it good for the LO's. We're thinking of taking ds on Sat. The ticket prices say under 2's free - ds is 2 on Saturday, would we get him in for free do you reckon?

Twigy · 06/02/2008 21:32

Ooohhh
I'd make him wear big badges saying 'I am 2 today!' and make a big fuss when paying. Shame those ticket people into letting him in for free.

fatzak · 06/02/2008 21:55

They can't demand ID from an under 2 can they surely??!! Just say he is under 2 and get in free. I used to say that the DSes were under one for ages to get into play places free - luckily neither walked until they were 16months so I could get away with it

See anyone who is going tomorrow about 10.30

knickers - am i right in thinking it has to be a vaguely professional person who has known you for 5 years?
so if you're 21, that's going to be really hard. is there anyone in social services who's known you since 16 or did you deal with any leaving care agencies?
what about nurses or neighbours (if you've not moved around as much as you change names )

itsahardknocklife · 07/02/2008 09:29

knickers I can do it for you -I'm a teacher and so well responsible innit. Bring them tomorrow.

thank you all c ok made a mess of her hands though
hope you meet was good today, as outs will be tomorrow

jo i took ds you should have asked ds loved it as we did too, but found it expensive unless they really intrested as ds was! the parking is £10 for day unless you park n ride?

MmeCellophane · 07/02/2008 16:23

Phoenix - we once went to a Thomas Day at NRM by accident (was just going generally). You will enjoy it, so don't let me put you off... but feel I should warn you, it was HEAVING. Make sure you get there early if parking!

Personally, I'd rather go to Thomas Day at somewhere where the rides are longer (and less queuing) eg Keighley and Worth Valley (though of course it is still busy, just not quite as much), and just enjoy NRM separately for what it is....

Def don't admit to 2 btw. I once did on a tiny train on DS 2nd bday and they charged me anyway. Tight b8stards!

Thanks NRM was just an idea cos its on his birthday but me and dh can't do with crowds and ds isn't that bothered about trains anyway so think we'll give it a miss now.

MmeCellophane · 07/02/2008 20:30

Phoenix Hope I haven't spoilt your plans! It can't have been too bad, as I've remembered that we've been twice! I think on the 2nd time we concluded that we didn't like sharing the museum (and imagine the queue for the loos and baby changing facilities!) We then went through a couple of visits where our DSs expected to see Thomas there - but now they've accepted that "Thomas doesn't visit there anymore" and they both love the museum itself.

Hope the weather stays as sunny on Saturday

MmeCellophane · 07/02/2008 20:37

Thanks for the email Trace. Itsahardknock - your email addy made me smile!

itsahardknocklife · 07/02/2008 21:03

glad I cheered up your day, Mme C

There is a reason behind my email address. I might tell you all one day, if we are all VERY bored. And probably drunk!

MmeCellophane · 07/02/2008 21:08

Trace - think there's a post for you in SN under "unanswered threads"
