Medway meet up in the new year?

It would be nice to meet some other Medway and surrounding area mums in the new year. How about a meet up? I'm open to venues and dont mind travelling a little.

Hello - is anybody out there? all quiet on the mumsnet front this week! broadband working again - yippee! not sure if going to cafe on my todd tomorrow though . will try and check e mail tomorrow morning, but was thinking may not be a good time for those with school run to do ? .do want need to go into chatham anyway but would be nice to meet if poss!

I keep running dates past harman but its never right.. For us,
Saturday/Sundays 7/8th june, 21/22. and every 2nd sat sun after that is ok.

ummm... not sure. think you are very brave! had horrible birth so putting me off a lot, but the thought is nice. DD in her big girl bed for first time tonight and looks so grown-up i don't know where the time has gone. she has been so good really i'm scared i'd get a difficult one next time!!

ok, it's 20 days later and no-one has posted a thing so thought i'd just air that!!!

would anyone like to join me for a coffee in town next week? i was going to go down to rochester high street, so let me know of there's a good day for anyone. I can't do thursday mornings but most other days ok for me. the cafe in the visitor centre is clean and cheap and room for pushchairs, etc.

also, i think i may have met rgpargy in a playground the other day, but didn't like to say incase it wasn't her and i looked like a right numpty!!

No, we didn't meet up at all!!

As for meeting in Rochester, yes i'd be up for that. i like the cafe in the visitor centre as it's cheap and cheerful and as you say, has room for buggies.

I dont think you met me in the playground the other day tho as i dont have school age kids!! Just as well you didn't say anything lol!

Oh no!! Really sorry!! I wasn't sure it was deffo on so after my WW meeting i just came home and gave DD her breakfast (we were running late this morning) and have only now just switched on the computer!

So sorry, and i PROMISE i wasn't getting you back LOL!!

How about making another arrangement that's actually set in stone this time that neither of us can break unless we have dropped dead between arranging it and turning up?

Hi RG. Have got over my sulks now and have decided we are even stevens now . wasn't a problem cos we had gone to library and fruit shop anyway, so we sat and had a teacake each (terrible mum ) and got fleeced! the notice board quite clearly stated teacakes 30p each. bargain, i thought.this place is good. then i got charged 60p for each of them. now i know i have some scots blood in me and it makes me a bit stingy, but it's a bit of a cheek. i very nicely said as much and was told they get classed as fruit buns (priced at 60p each). i know a teacake when i see one. grrr....

Friday a.m fine with me. 10.15-10.30 suits a bit better if poss, but 11a.m at a push. it doesn't give me long before DD starts getting tired and whingey, etc!!

where shall we meet? it was lovely and quiet in visitor centre cafe. although did see some david brent suited-up types lurking. happened to eavesdrop a bit and they had to be the most boring kind of bloke you could meet. they all seemed to think they were 'it'!! v.funny. but had no-one to share it with!!!!

There's gonna be a meet on Friday (thread is HERE) at 11am. However, as parking is a pain the later in the day it gets, i dont mind meeting you earlier (i'll have a teacake/bun with you!) so that at least you'll have met someone for more than 5 minutes!

What do you reckon? 10.15 in the VC cafe?
