Medway meet up in the new year?

It would be nice to meet some other Medway and surrounding area mums in the new year. How about a meet up? I'm open to venues and dont mind travelling a little.

I go to WW on Monday morning and dont normally finish til about 10.45am. If DD naps at 11.30, why not make it an afternoon thing? My DD normally naps during the morning too.

I did go on my own because we were the only ones to have replied in time for today. Nevermind tho, i sat in the cafe and had a nice coffee and fed DD. I realised in the meantime of course that i'd been stood up!

Let's make sure that the next one is more than two people, and then that way if one doesn't show at least none of us will be sitting there like a Billy-No-Mates lol.

Oh, I hadn't seen this thread. I'd love to have a Medway meet up if you don't mind me tagging along. I'm just outside Chatham and have a 15 month old dd with me during the day while the others are at school. Can do Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays usually if you are going to try again to get together.

The more the merrier i say! Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays are all good for me, preferably in the afternoon but i dont mind doing a morning as i see from your profile that you have school-age kids. it would be a shame if you had to dash off!

rgpargy, i'm really really sorry.car didn't start saturday. new battery sunday but didn't go again today. didn't dare a hill start. bus takes too long and no way of telling you! what about another go next mon? i owe you one coffee!! i quite liked the cafe today actually. it was lovely and quiet and i happened to notice an array of cakes and muffins...... The only down thing i found was the baby change room. It stank to high heaven and the nappy bins were heaving (and covered in poo!!). Gross!

I can see Debenhams being a bit fatal tho. I saw lots of lovely posh stuff like crockery and cutlery (not that we dont have cutlery you understand, we just have cheap stuff ). I told DP that we should get married just so we can have a wedding list and put that stuff on it!

Cadbury, if a Monday afternoon is no good for you, i can normally do mornings too, but Monday morning is my Weight Witches morning so i cant make it then.

a near miss meet up...! Sorry i didnt get back to you i did say drunkenly to rickman we need to say we cant go monday but it didnt happen and i fell asleep soon after.
Rickman had a half nine meeting and was baby sitting for 2. So it would have ben no good and i wasnt gonna come on me own
I have to usually get in from t wells so after noon is better for me and tues/weds still a no go.

looks like a friday might be better for everyone? what about friday p.m instead of monday p.m next week? am going to a medium night on thursday - maybe i could ask him if it's likely to ever happen?!! . shame bout baby change area i thought debenhams would be better than that. i do always think you could judge the kitchen of a place by the toilets....!

I will have trouble doing an afternoon as I'd need to leave to get back for the school runas soon as I'd arrived. Maybe I can meet you lot one morning another time?

As for the baby changing place in Debenhams - it is horrid but vastly less horrid than the only other chnaging facility in Chatham - in the Pentagon loos where you will share your space with needles and tags ripped of newly stolen clothes. In Debenhams defence, I have to say it was even worse there when it was an Alders.

i can do a morning or an afternoon so if someone wants to meet up in the morning and others in the afternoon, i dont mind doing both!

Oh and i think we're talking about NEXT friday, Cadbury, not this Friday.

In which case I definitey can't join you I'm afraid - will be on my way to Centre Parcs then. Will keep my eye peeled for another opportunity.
