Yes I know its early to organise BUT I have managed to miss the last 3 (2 down to lack of sitters & 3rd stood u all up for Take That)

I have a weekend child free in Jan so KNOW I CAN DEFINITELY make this one.....if u girls are up for it and free

My suggestion is Friday Jan 18th.

Anyone free & fancy it or is it just too early to think about it

will even organise if that helps (Furball)

I'm bringing slouchy and know she has to be home by 11pm too so we may have to duck out a little earlier than the end too!
Very MM, since everyone last saw me I've put on about 1.5 stone and look every inch the new Mum who's had no sleep! Just speak over my snoring won't you

rbj949703 · 15/01/2008 17:09

Aaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!

I'm going to have to cancel this one, I can't get a babysitter on Friday.

Sorry, hopefully see you all next time.

Littlefish · 15/01/2008 18:20

Don't put yourself down Honor - you looked lovely when I saw you at the weekend. Rosie is just lovely - what a lucky mummy you are.

I've sorted my babysitter (Hooooooray!). I will make contact with Turkish Deelite and take her up on her kind offer of a lift. I won't be able to leave until about 7.15, so we might be a little bit later than 7.45.

HonorMatopoeia · 17/01/2008 21:09

Thank you Littlefish! That makes me feel better, I'll do my best to clean the baby sick off my left shoulder for tomorrow so I may even look presentable!
See everyone there!

Littlefish · 18/01/2008 23:12

Am I the first one home?

Thanks for a lovely evening girls. So sorry you couldn't make it Mistress Miggins.

Thanks to you lot, I'm going to bed with a hideous image of some aubergine balls!

BettySpaghetti · 18/01/2008 23:23

I'm back too but had to wrestle the laptop off DP.

Great night!

Sorry you didn't make it MM - got your CAT when I got home but we got the message at the Swan. Don't worry, there will be another night soon I'm sure.

TurkishDeelite · 18/01/2008 23:44

I am back and fully awake. Will try not to think of the aubergine balls as I may never be able to sleep for fear of nightmares... Great to see you all! Oh well- better make a cup of tea! Hoo-hooo-hooo

Furball · 19/01/2008 05:56

well I'm up!

morning all - yep great night and great food, the pudding was gorguss!!! funnily enough I had aubergine stack as mains, thank god I didn't know the tale before I'd eaten it - would've put me right off.....

MM - hope things are OK, feel you should have said your screen name to the bar staff though would have been really funny had they said 'Mistress Miggins has just rung to say she can't come'

LunarSea · 19/01/2008 08:26

Glad you all had a good time. Hopefully will be able to make the next one (dh is away a lot, but usually makes it home for Friday nights).

Littlefish · 19/01/2008 08:26

Dd came called out at 7.03 this morning, and in typical bad mummy fashion, I told her it was still night time, so she went back to sleep . She reappeared at about 8.10 and I dragged myself awake.

Littlefish · 19/01/2008 08:28

PS. Really looking forward to seeing some of you next weekend at the concert.

Furball · 19/01/2008 09:16

you lazy lot!! - I went for a run at 8am.

BettySpaghetti · 19/01/2008 10:22

A run! I was just crawling out of bed at 8am. DS did his usual "Is it morning?" at 7.30 but we managed to get an extra half hour by sending him to watch TV with his sister who was up at 7(I wish I knew your secret Littlefish )

furball -are you aiming for a Race for Life, marathon or something? Or just running for fitness?

Slouchy · 19/01/2008 12:38

Yes, good fun night again. Sorry MM, that you couldn't make it. Hope things are ok.
I got a liein until 8.40 - dd2 was awake when I got home so came into bed with me and kept us both awake until about 1, but then slept in; dd1 was awake but played quietly in her bedroom until I went through. There is a God!

mistressmiggins · 19/01/2008 12:44

DD seems better this morning although lying on sofa and wont eat....she is drinking though.
my DS is at a party just down the road so bit of peace & quiet for couple of hours

sorry missed out again last night

Furball - I did think of saying "Christian name - Miggins" but chickened out
it was bad enough saying the table was booked under Mumsnet - felt embarrassed about that but dont know why....

OP posts:
Slouchy · 19/01/2008 12:47

Oh, poorly dd. What a shame (for her and you).
IKWYM about embarrassment r.e. table name - Honor and I were 1st to arrive and loitered near the bar cos we were too chicken to ask for a table called Mumsnet.
(It was actually booked as Mumsnut - even worse!)

Furball · 19/01/2008 14:53

MM - just checked mt email and got your CAT it came through at 7.30 so I'd already left by then. Don't worry, we'll just have to have the next one extra soon

Furball · 20/01/2008 21:44

betty - just running to try and shift some flab. Not helped by gorguss puddings though [oh well] I'm doing the couch potato to 5km in 8 weeks! tis good, am enjoying and normally go after getting ds on the bus at 8.15!

oh no sleppycat - I did send one, honest! It will only be a couple of months till the next one.

Itsthawooluff · 21/01/2008 11:16

Hello all. Had a great evening as usual, but was then struck down hugely with stomach bug, and spent almost entire weekend in "man flu" mode stretched out on sofa, wailing occasionally.

Never been so ill - in fact, must have looked really ill, because for first time in 11 years DH offered to muck out for me! Only amusing bit was when sat in kitchen showrooms and shown pretty projections of future kitchen by very proud young salesperson, my only reaction was to bolt for the loo - followed by loud retching noises echoing round the showroom. DD1 said "You were very loud mummy" I think they should improve the soundproofing in their loos.

BettySpaghetti · 21/01/2008 12:09

itsthawooluff -ooh you poor thing. Hope you're feeling better now.

sleepycat - shame you missed it but like furball said there will be another soon. We'll make sure we chase you round the talk boards until we find you to let you know when it is

furball - wow! very impressed. If you do a sponsored thing (eg.Race for Life)let me know and I'll sponsor you
