I thought Id start this, as it's my dd's 2nd birthday on 15th December, and I would have loved to have thrown her a party or something, but unfortunately i dont know enough people to do that. We will still do something family wise, but was wondering if anyone would like to come with me and dd to the Kidsport thingy at Woodside Leisure Park on the Friday (17th). Or if anyone has any better suggestions of where else to go? xxx

Hi Kayleigh. Thats very kind! (and Karen99). You're further out into the wilds than me, if I remember rightly. I'm not going to CAT you my address until we're acually there, for fear of bad luck!! I'm not believing anything until its happened, as so many things have held up the sale and purchase already!!! But I'll be in N20. we might be in for valentines day if we're lucky, which is crap considering we accepted the offer here at the start of November . I think the N20 cafe will be my haunt, finances depending, as ds no longer looks under 1 to get into clown town for free!!! Or my new back garden... what a novelty!!

hosannainIXELsis, N20 cafe costs a small fortune. Entrance fee for the little ones is ok, but coffees and snacks etc are really expensive.

Still once the weather is better you are near Friary park which is lovely and has a little outdoors cafe. We spend loads of time there in the summer. Look forward to meeting up with you and showing you all our haunts !

Kayleigh · 06/01/2005 15:40

and meant to say - I am two minutes drive from N20 postcode, so not too far in the wilds at all !

ixel · 07/01/2005 08:34

Yeah, I like Friary Park. And dh likes that thing you wind up and make a noise down!

ladym · 07/01/2005 10:59

Hello Ladies i live just across the road from the N20 club, as Kayleigh said its quite expencive my dd is 2 so it cost 4.75p just to get her in. Do any of you go there often? Hope to chat to you all soon!

Kayleigh · 07/01/2005 18:43

hi ladym, my ds2 will be 4 in June and he is starting to find N20 a bit boring. he prefers (aaaahhhhh) clown town, especially if my ds1 (6) is with him. We also like Adventure World in London Colney which is half the price of N20.
Do you drive ?

ladym · 08/01/2005 23:16

Hi Kayleigh , yes i do drive , yeah my dd like clowntown theres much more space to run around ectas at n20 dd always run near the tables! Hope your all having a fab weekend, i havnt been up to much :-(

When is half term this term? If we don't manage to arrange a Jan day meetup we should go for early Feb... The new place at Brent Cross is quite nice. A bit on the small side but good for toddlers... £3.50 I think (atleast that's what they charged my 18mo ds)

Are both Kayleigh's and Anorak's ds' now at school?

anorak · 10/01/2005 15:21

My ds is in part time nursery.

I can make it after 3 any afternoon or by about 12 noon Thurs and Fris.

ixel · 10/01/2005 15:25

hi Karen 99. Can you get from the shopping centre to that new place by foot?Or do you have to run into oncoming traffic or walk miles etc? I remember seeing it briefly, but cant remember how close it was (in a friends car at the time). I would love to come to the next meet up, as long as its not right when we move (she says as if its really going to be sorted one day...)! How would ds like it, bearing in mind he's 14 months now, and loves clown town (but I have to follow him onto everything!)

Kayleigh · 10/01/2005 16:33

My ds2 is at nursery now till 11:30. So I can make mondays or fridays at 12:00ish or after.

Kayleigh · 10/01/2005 16:34

maybe this should have a new thread title when you decide on a date (Karen !!!) as the december may be a bit offputting
