Watford/Barnet/Herts Day meetup - December

I thought Id start this, as it's my dd's 2nd birthday on 15th December, and I would have loved to have thrown her a party or something, but unfortunately i dont know enough people to do that. We will still do something family wise, but was wondering if anyone would like to come with me and dd to the Kidsport thingy at Woodside Leisure Park on the Friday (17th). Or if anyone has any better suggestions of where else to go? xxx

sorry tammybear, i won't be able to make the 17th. By the time i collect ds2 from nursery i won't have enough time as i have to go to ds1 school to help take down xmas decorations before he finishes at 2:30.

17th is fine - at Kidsports? What time? DS sleeps around 1-ish these days. Will try and get MamaV along too. She has a 5mo ds and recently joined MN.

Who is able to make the 17th?

karen99, willows is closed now till the spring, opens again March some time. We'll have to do the April meet-up there In the mean time I think the Jan one should be somewhere warm and sunny - how about the bahamas

Hi tammybear... ds & I are suffering from sickness at the mo. All three of us had a stomach bug from hell last week :( and my bout started whilst we were out at dh's work Xmas do at a posh hotel! The tummy bug has been replaced with a terrbile flu-type cold so will email you nearer the day if that's ok! Really sorry as was looking forward to seeing you and your dd.

Do we know if McMudda is back online yet?? :)

As I am unemployed for this month I was looking forward to seeing everyone by coming to this meet up but there is a problem with our car and it simply won't start sometimes (need to take it to the garage) so I can't risk coming and getting stuck there with no-one to pick up ds from school. I hope you all have a great time and someone has a cup of tea and some cake and thinks of me!.

Sorry missed all arangments, I did pencil it in calender. Im like walking dead myself & surrounded by muck and filthy dusty grime with chaos ensuing cos of loft & 1st floor conversion . Not nice until well into Jan, but then will have lovely home . Havent been online much , nasty bought of illness in my house for last 3 weeks. My car's not starting. I already have problems with it which the girls think could be the tracking, but now it won't start so i cant get there. Extrememly annoyed. Really sorry

I heard from Karen, thomas is still a bit grizzly so she wont be going. It is annoying, as I needed to go into town too as my mum's Christmas present is broken and I need to exchange it for another one, and I don't particularly want to walk down in this weather!

Can't you leave it till tomorrow and hope it won't be raining then? I've just put out my rubbish and had to dress up in a hat, coat and wellies just to do that! One drop of water on my hair and it looks like I am plugged into a Van der Graaf generator!

I'll keep an eye on this thread and if no one else posts that they are going I won't bother either. I've got plenty of jobs to fill the time, as I'm sure everyone else has at the moment!

Hi girls, sorry I haven't been online. Dh fell at a tube station last week and has dislocated his shoulder (a little girl ran into him and he tried to catch her before she fell backwards and hit her head, dh landed with both their weight on his right shoulder and then "pop" ) so I haven't had time for anything except to do everything iykwim! Dh can't even help with the nappy changes or lift ds into the highchair DS still has a major head cold, so do I, and now dh is moaning on about a sore throat.. BUT we did have a lovely time at my parents over Xmas. Hope you all did too. Happy New Year and hopefully see you soon

Hello again everyone! Do you lot all have cars?! I'm still in the process of moving deeper into the wilds of Barnet (how long do solicitors take? Jesus!) and starting to feel a bit apprehensive about being in new territory. Was hoping to gatecrash your meet ups, but I'm strictly a public transport girl . I'll only be a mile or so away from our current place as the crow flies, but it feels so much further away from London and things I know!!

Karen99, so sorry to hear about your dh. Hope he is helping around the house again soon

hosannainIXELsis, i think most of us have cars. Am sure we will be able to sort out a pick up for you when we meet-up. Will probably arrange something once back at work next week and everyone has settled back into their routines.

HIya all , saw thgis up on actives and had to say helloo ,feel I havent spoken to you all for ages. Its been sicky house here too and buidling site. AWWWWW karen sorry to hear about your dh , poor you also in sicky house. Hope you all heal quick and feel good soon you seem have a roll of sickyness just like us.

Im having leg issues!! (yes I know something else now, what a bore!!!) , so may have to reduce driving for a short while WHAT A PAIN in the BUM .

Thanks all. DH is feeling better but still not on many 'house/ds duties'. Probably not for a couple more weeks. It's still quite numb and the physio said he may need an op if things don't improve
