Lunch in the City - Thurs 11th Nov

Next city lunch will be at pizza pomodoro - very close to Liverpool St Station, 5 minutes walk from Moorgate. Date - Thursday 11th November 12:30.

Anybody welcome, just post here to confirm.

Got some people over from the US and have been asked to attend a lunch with them today.....so I'm going to have to duck out. Gutted as this is the second one I've missed in a row.

Should be able to make up for it by having an extra long lunch break for the Christmas event though.

I will not be able to make it after all. DD2 had now got a horrible cough and cold and is very miserable. I hope to make it some time in the future though. Sods law eh?

Aargh -- got to add myself to the list of dropouts!

My mum has announced her arrival here at 1 o'clock and since I'm desperate for a bit of help with childcare (dh is away for 3 weeks) I'm not in a position to be picky about when she gets here.

Wasn't sure about coming to the Christmas lunch, but will now make extra effort, as I've missed two lunches in a row.

I'm commmmiiiiinnnnnggggg! So looking forward to seeing you all but how the heck will I recognise you? Believe it or not I can be shy sometimes and standing in the middle of a restaurant full of city types shouting any "Mums in ere" might just be too much for me . Might be a little late as I have a horrible meeting with boss at 11.30 which he's usually late for.

I'll be there but do have to be back at work and sober for 2pm meeting with line manager so will need to order, eat, pay and run
Looking forward to seeing those who can make it and wishing speedy recoveries to ailing nippers and enjoyable other engagements to those who can't.

Don't worry about dropping out - gives us more to talk about

Wills - am so pleased you're coming. I can't wait to finally meet you ! Have booked a table for 12 -so only likely to be the one. We all tend to look at people knowingly when they come down the stairs. Believe me - you'll know us!

You most certainly did BR. Sponge and her ds were there. And he gives gorgeous cuddles, a big smile and lots of dribble.

He was gorgeous and less fazed by that blasted fire alarm than the rest of us...did you all see the huge numbers of evacuated office workers and fire marshals on the pavement outside? Makes me wonder whether that bell was ringing for a reason!

As I was walking out I passed 3 very large fireman all taking shreds out of the manager for not evacuating us. They were going ballistic at the piece of paper that had been stuck in the bell.

Pamina3 - hadn't realised it was you. Would have said a big thankyou, have been meaning to cat you for a while. Sorry.

oh sorry I couldn't make it either - honestly my new job is one long meeting it seems....
