Next city lunch will be at pizza pomodoro - very close to Liverpool St Station, 5 minutes walk from Moorgate. Date - Thursday 11th November 12:30.

Anybody welcome, just post here to confirm.

And don't forget the Christmas Lunch in the City thread.

Thought I wasn't going to be able to make it....but my out of town meeting has now been cancelled so I can come after all! Hooray!

binkie · 05/11/2004 17:29

Kayleigh, but then I'd lose an incentive for joining you, wouldn't I? It's just that bf was at HB too but I think she must be quite a bit older - she would have left in 1979.

Kayleigh · 06/11/2004 12:16

Binkie, I left in 1979, but didn't stay for 6th form. So at most she was 2 school years ahead of me.

Vivat - can I CAT you as I might be having an interview with your employer and I wanted to pick your brains on their attitude to part time work

CountessDracula · 10/11/2004 13:36

Kayleigh I may be able to make it but have a meeting until 1 and am down by the monument, so won't get there til 1.15 - think you should count me out and I'll turn up late and pig all your crusts if I can get away!!

Wills · 10/11/2004 13:43

Hi Kayleigh. I'm really hoping to make it but need to have a second set of bloods taken tomorrow. I waited 1.5 hours yesterday for them to do it and didn't get to work until 1.30pm. Fingers crossed because I really feel like a lunch out chatting!

Kayleigh · 10/11/2004 14:49

Wills, I do hope you can make it. Will keep fingers crossed that they don't keep you hanging about too long,

CD, sounds like you could be in time for the most important part - pudding !! Hope to see you tomorrow.

I should be ok for tomorrow, subject to DD2's sore throat!

I am fed up of missing you all because of work . I will do a deposit for Xmas lunch even though may have to cancel in last minute. Would anyone be interested in going out for drinks/ dinner after work or on a Saturday evening? There was some talk of a City Lawyers' drinks but I can't think of any good reason why it should be that exclusive. Someone who actually does go out drinking after work will have to recommend a bar, because at this end the bars are quite dull really! There are nice ones near Barbican from outside.

Still hoping to drop in, as done before - way things are going that's more likely than staying through lunch. Will there be any babies this time?

A special request ... was just reading Hulababy's plea for haircut inspiration and I really need to do something about mine, which is shoulderlength (no layers), wavy, dense, & uncoloured save for an iron-grey chunk on top. Never wear it down any more, so might as well cut it off - IF that might work. I would trust you lot much more than hairdressers, so if I do appear tomorrow will you please give me ideas? (Brutal honesty appreciated.)

bundle · 10/11/2004 17:21

hoping to be there for my city lunch debut

sponge · 10/11/2004 18:17

Where's the nearest place to park.
I will only be able to come if I drive as have to get dd home from school in time for playdate which isn't possible on the tube or bus.

Kayleigh · 10/11/2004 18:36

binkie, do you want me to bring scissors

OP posts:
Kayleigh · 10/11/2004 18:38

sorry sponge, not too sure about parking. What about Finsbury circus - there are spaces there. Think it's pay and display. Maybe someone more useful will be able to help.

Kayleigh - if you cut your own (you glamorous girl) then yes!!

PotPourri · 10/11/2004 19:29

Kayleigh, Sorry but I'm going to have to drop out. I'm just too big and clicky to make it into central London now. Am hoping this is a sign that my little babe is on it's way - SOOOOON, please....

Have a lovely lunch, will be thinking of the loverly pudding I will be missing

Kayleigh · 10/11/2004 19:47

oooh PotPourri, hope baby doesn't keep you waiting too long. Anyway, it's not a bad excuse !
Will look out for you on the births thread. XXX
