Have a good night ladies.

If it had been a few days later I would have joined you since I am up at my mums but have fun anyhow

bobsmum · 08/11/2007 15:38

How dressy is this place? Do I have an excuse to go shopping or is it a jeans and a smart top kind of thing? Tbh - I want to have an excuse to get Christmassy. This is my work night out after all

nailpolish · 08/11/2007 15:44

i wont be wearing jeans
why wear jeans when you have an excuse to get dressed up ?!

dress up or down, theres no dress code (its a pub but a posh one)

OP posts:
bobsmum · 08/11/2007 15:46

Am pg so need dressy maternity stuff. Need to be able to wear it more than once though to justify it, so I'll have to get out more

nailpolish · 08/11/2007 15:55

ah see bobsmum you can be let off with jeans-wearing since you are pg

didnt know you were pg, belated congrats! (how many wks are ou?)

Ah Bobsmum - Stirling Zara has just got maternity range in and some is very nice. I had to walk away quickly after admiring some and then realising was for up-duffers!

Sorry I am so quiet/not joining in with anything at the mo. but am up to my armpits with Uni work and DH is off galivanting again.

My last exam is on the 14th Dec so I will be (1) really hung-over at this Do' and sipping flat cola or (2) ready to really go for for it in which case we might all be in trouble.

Nailly - will see you at the Airport on the 1st if we don't talk before hand. And you will need to help me study on the way down

nailpolish · 09/11/2007 08:22

gomez

glad to see you are studying hard - i will be cracking that whip on the plane down

i am getting very excited
see you at the airport!

Bobsmum: are you going to be catching the train across to Edinburgh?

Gomez and Nailpolish - i'll be thinking of you on the 1st. After nearly coming alng, I couldnb't have made it that weekend as it is ds' school's Winter Fayre, the big fund raising event of the year,

bobsmum · 09/11/2007 12:41

NP - all is forgiven - I'm 16 weeks atm and just getting too fat for jeans anyway!

Gomez - that sounds great - didn't know Zara did maternity.

PB - yes - I'm planning to get the train. you'll be needing another balloon then

prettybird · 09/11/2007 13:18

I am not taking a balloon with me to Edinburgh! We'll have to describe what we'll be wearing and also perhaps decide which carriage we are going to get into and meet up that way.

I think I can remember waht you looked like (but I am hopeless at both faces and names) - but I have never met weeonion, bookthief and harrisey.

I have also cut and coloured my hair since we last met - it's now short!

nailpolish · 09/11/2007 13:26

PMSL at PB et al carrying balloons

get a corsage girls and be done with it!

OP posts:
bobsmum · 09/11/2007 13:31

Argh - I'll need a haircut before then too - I'm just emerging from the hideously haggard first 3 mths stage and would like to look like a member of the human race for this night out, rather than an extra from 28 Days Later!

nailpolish · 09/11/2007 13:48

GOD YES im getting my hair cut before then too

after moving to Ed in june im tryng to find a good hairdresser - ie a recommendation - need a concrete one - so THEREFORE havent had my hair cut since erm.... April

does anyone love their hairdresser enough to share with me?

Dh has had a look at the wine list and has some recommendations (can't remember off hand what they were) - but I think we should wait until the beginning of December to decide as they also do monthly specials.

In that case I owe you 50p

I found a little black dress from Topshop maternity so I'm ready for my night out now - just need maternity tights - mmm attractive Haven't been in Topshop for years - v odd experience, especially as I actually liked most of the stuff in there - must be younger at heart than I thought!
