next fri then prune? can we make it 930? or 10? at the sealion/s?

OP posts:
agalch · 25/10/2007 17:14

So a badge with agalch or my rl name then?

I may buy myself something new to wear i think. This may just give me the incentive to lose the last stone to get to my target weight lol.

Can anyone who is coming from Livingston let me know and i can price the taxi if thats what we still plan to do?

prettybird · 25/10/2007 17:18

We've alwys introuced urlseves with our real names - and then if we've wanted to have said our psoting name. Occasionally people are shy abut admitting to who thier posting name is

With c.20 of us, I would put both names on: your real name with a "subtitle" of your posting name if you want.

gomez · 25/10/2007 17:18

Hello All numbers looking good!

Can I just confirm the time is it 7.30 or 8.30? (Just Nailly's first post after booking LR said 8.30 I think - too lazy to scroll down and check .

No fecking idea what I will be wearing - Christ women it is weeks away.

DeathByPruners · 25/10/2007 19:06

Ooh nails I think Fri might be out
Will email

prettybird · 25/10/2007 21:26

You're right Gomez : it is 8.30pm.

But given that the Glasgow contingent will have to catch the last train back at 11.30, I think we should get there for 7.30 and get a pre-prandial drink in!

harrisey · 25/10/2007 22:08

yes pb! Get there on time! Or early!

You have to remember this is my birthday night out (I'm 37 (eek) on the 16th) so i Intend to be there and have FUN for as long as I can!!!

prettybird · 25/10/2007 22:53

harrisey. You and I are going to be meeting on on the 6.30 train across to Edinburgh! We can start celebrating your birthday then!

Klaw · 25/10/2007 23:23

Hello, doubt I can get to, or afford, the Xmas do but do you have meet ups often?

prettybird · 25/10/2007 23:45

We're not terrible good about meeting up (although there is also a group who arrange meet-ups via the Pregnancy thread ). It's probably about 3 or 4 times a year - although there are also some attempts in between times that never take off.

I hope you can make it to the Christmas meet-up Klaw: whereabouts are you based?

MeltingandScreamingIcarus · 26/10/2007 00:09

Prettybird - did you mention the pregnancy thread meet ups? Not sure I caught that - do tell. .

prettybird · 26/10/2007 00:22

It's not me!

I had noticed it a wee while ago when it happened to be in Active Conversations - and linked to it for caffersg's benefit www.mumsnet.com/Talk/49/288793. But it 's not where someone new would expect to find info on meet-ups.

nailpolish · 26/10/2007 11:08

we eat at 9pm. i know its late but if we had booked earlier we wouldnt have been able to keep the 'private' bit for as long as we wanted. this way we get to sit and chat all night and not be roaming round the west end in the freezing cold. im old and i like to sit down and chat

hope thats ok

i know for a fact ill be there at 730 or 8, i like to get off the starting blocks sharpish. who will be joining me? we dont even have to meet at the LR, could have 1 or 2 at tigerlily perhaps?

OP posts:
gomez · 26/10/2007 11:14

Way hey, Tigerlily at 5ish then?

We can agree decide nearer the time I would think. Same time as who chose our wine perhaps

nailpolish · 26/10/2007 11:17

lol @ "5ish"
that may well be the case

has anyone looked at the wine list yet? if we preorder it itll be on the table ready and waiting

OP posts:
gomez · 26/10/2007 11:20

I haven't sorry = I am very, very busy with Uni work, DS has been ill and DH has buggered of with work again.

I don't think I will lift my head until the Do' except of course for my pre-exam trip to London . I will be studying on the plane Nailly, you'll have to test me!

nailpolish · 26/10/2007 11:26

i havent looked at th ewine list either - i dont have the energy - we can do it on the night

i am working extra shifts to pay for the london trip - so i will be really letting loose!

really really looking forward to both nights out

OP posts:
nailpolish · 26/10/2007 11:26

midnightexpressmwahaha · 26/10/2007 12:01

you can stop your ing prettybird, we're about to start a new Scottish mums thread in here for meetups. We're in pregnancy for historical reasons.

prettybird · 26/10/2007 15:43

... but I have been pointing people in that direction, so no hard feelings! 9... apart from the fact that I have missed out on loads of Glasgow meet-ups 'cos I didn't know about them!)

Anyway, I'll get dh to have a look at the wine list and he can make some recommendations for what would be the best value. It's still 6 weeks away though, so we have plenty of time!

midnightexpressmwahaha · 26/10/2007 18:33

No not at all. Come along to our next one, probably some time before Xmas.

prettybird · 26/10/2007 18:59

... to be fair, I wouldn't have been able to make most of them as I work full time.

chainKLAWmassacre · 26/10/2007 23:49

Hey Prettybird, I'm near Forfar so, apart from finance, logistics and childcare will probably put the kaibosch (sp) on me getting to the Xmas do.... Have started a thread in my local area to get local ladies networking....

geordiemacmummy · 27/10/2007 12:03

My in-laws live in Arbroath

nailpolish · 27/10/2007 17:49
