Twin bedroom here for £25pp or this site lists hostels that provide twin beds.

Well, just talking to dh who I don't think approves of such frivolities just before Christmas, but maybe £30? Just checking trains.

They won't search for tickets this early, but putting in 1st November brings me a ticket charge of £41.50 booking 2 singles as it was cheaper. Only 4 hours to get there it reckons though. Arriving at Euston. Don't know how much it will be in December.

D'ya reckon booking earlier is cheaper or is it worth leaving it a bit to see if prices come down?

So say that's £41 for the train, £30 for the room, £25 for the meal and say an extra £30 for drinks, taxis, whatever, £126.

Any ideas what I can do to raise a bit of cash?

Don't know about train prices, I always seem to get caught out however I plan it.

Cash, hmmmmm. No, no ideas on that one either.

Take the £30 out of the equation for now thought, just figure out the rest.
