My DS starts at big school next month and in the reception garden they have a 'lonely post' where you can go and wait for a friend to come along. I think that if he can manage that at 'not-quite-four' then I can probably manage a boozy night with 50 people I don't know. Well, once I've thrown 4 mohitos into the equation, obviously.
