fennel · 24/04/2007 20:21

Franca, you can borrow my toddler to chase around in Dinkys if you feel naked without one. I'll just sit and drink coffee

Baysmum · 24/04/2007 20:38

Yes will put a msg on in morn around 10 x

franca70 · 24/04/2007 20:38

I thought that the whole idea of dinkys is that you don't have to chase them around? Just lock them in the ball pool and watch the survival of the fittest?

fennel · 24/04/2007 21:20

But my dd3 will be one of the big ones, and she's the youngest of 3, she's accustomed to fighting back. I could leave her alone in there but I would be ostracised by all the mothers of one little 1yo. She's not at all mean, but she might seem it to them as she wades in, disposing carelessly of wobbly little ones in all directions.

franca70 · 24/04/2007 21:50

Hmmmm I see. I promise I'll be by your side chasing after your dd3.

ILoveDolly · 24/04/2007 23:09

hi exeter mums when are you next meeting as i always plan to pop along and miss it again and again. Shall we organise a SW MN Summer Picnic ? If all those posh london birds can do it why can't we?!!

ILoveDolly · 24/04/2007 23:13

oh i just read all the thread and it is this week, haruph, can't do. still.... picnic????

mamatres · 25/04/2007 09:46

oh a picnics a great idea ilovedolly! best wait for the weather to turn luscious again though eh?

fennel, how old is your dd3? i will prob bring ds2 and hes 4 and very 'lively' and very big! am feeling concerned for other lo's safety....

fennel · 25/04/2007 11:34

dd3 was 3 last week.

She's generally well behaved - well, she's the best of my lot - but still I think mothers of a 1yo don't tend to view any 3yo as gentle and well behaved.

mamatres · 25/04/2007 14:24

LOL! thats so true- esp first time mums with only one child! mmmm, ds2 isnt always that well behaved and usully dont really care too much. hes 4 ffs i dont expect him to be silent and still! mind you may be best to leave him with someone else for the morning if i can....

fennel · 25/04/2007 15:01

He'll be OK, I'd have thought, it's not as if there's nowhere to play at Dinky's, that's the whole point.

can we still call you Boobs even though your name is changed now? it's hard to change a habit

Coco4 · 25/04/2007 15:48

Is Dinkys suitable 4 my dd2 who is 16mths?

OP posts:
mamatres · 25/04/2007 16:51

ok. boobs is fine by me

franca70 · 25/04/2007 17:58

yes, it's fine coco4
yes, you'll be always boobs to me mamatres .

fennel · 25/04/2007 20:39

Dinkys is perfect for a 16 month old, it's quite mild as soft play goes.

That's why we're worrying about the 3 and 4 year olds!

franca70 · 25/04/2007 20:45

waves at fennel. I'll sort the 3 and 4 yrs odl. I'll take them for a latte at foodease

fennel · 25/04/2007 20:51

hi franca

Does anyone have a spare Dinkys voucher? Once again I can only find an out of date one.

Coco4 · 25/04/2007 21:29

Hi Coco, what are you up to today? I have got ds at nursery this morn but am around later this afternoon. My prob is that he sleeps 1.30 til 3.30 in the afternoon which limits my options a bit for getting out - and I don want to put the 2 hr nap in danger while I am pg!!! I am thinking of going to bull meadow when he wakes which wd be about 4ish - is that too late or do you fancy mtg there? let me know. Also need to keep an eye on weather!

Coco4 · 26/04/2007 10:42

Hi Baysmum, wow 2hr nap! how did u manage that? 4 is fine, if it doesnt rain. What will you be wearing?

OP posts:
Baysmum · 26/04/2007 11:04

Oh god dont know - but I am quite pg with blond hair, have blue phil &teds and son has blond curly hair! If it rains, will post on this thread just at 3.30ish - see if we can think of somewhere else to meet!

mamatres · 26/04/2007 15:02

oh blardy blardy hell, dd is ill AGAIN!!!! had really nice morning with her friend running around and playing, got home and 10 minutes later she had the worst diarroeah i have ever seen. and my washing machine is broken. lovely. so have bagged it all up and given poo drenched clothes and bath mat to my dear mum!!!! who is not best pleased. so.......looks like i'm going to miss another meet up. i dont think its meant to be.

franca70 · 26/04/2007 15:06
