Mines full of cig burns

See you at 12. Night night.

SmileyC · 23/04/2007 22:52

Mine's at my Nan's house in Hertfordshire-never been dry cleaned. Hmmmmm. Shame, it was a lovely dress.
Night all. See you tomorrow at 12.

Gingermonkey · 24/04/2007 08:09

I didn't wear a dress, I had a trouser suit instead (got married in Vegas!). I've still got it but it's far too small now . The jacket goes on but the trousers won't do up without me doing some damage to my internal organs!!!! I was very skinny when I got married (and I'm not exactly fat now!). My friend from Thailand spik lak dis now after 3 yrs in Thailand - it's very funny (that was speak like this in Pidgin English BTW!!!) I'm not sure what's going on with her today, she's supposed to be going to a friend in Leeds for the day and night but she appears to have gone AWOL (the other friend, not thailand friend)!!! I may have to trek back to Brid today (and get stuck behind a million tractors on the way!). She's still sleeping (lucky bugger, I had G in my bed all night and L from 5.30 - 4 in a bed!!!!It was a bit of a squeeze!!!). I really want to try and meet up though because L needs to run about for a bit aftr being in the car for hours yesterday. I'll text Phoenix either way at 12 ish.

PhoenixGirl · 24/04/2007 08:34

SmileyC · 24/04/2007 09:43

See you all later. Just came on to make sure we were still meeting at leapfrogs!
byeeeeee

Chloe55 · 24/04/2007 15:49

Had a lovely afternoon, nice to meet you Smiley

Still in a bit of shock about what taht little boy said though, don't think I mentioned it to you Smiley you were at the toilet with your ds - a couple of boys were picking on ds a bit because he wanted to play with them and they didn't with him - anyway they trapped his hand in the wendy house door on purpose so I told them off, his mum was stood behind me and asked her ds what he was doing - he said he was 'killing the baby!' What an odd thing to say, don't you think?

sarahhal · 24/04/2007 17:28

Glad you all had a good meet up Oh yes where was I only educating the children of Kirklees
Hope your DS hand ok Chloe - strange thing indeed for other boy to say . A Grandma once smacked William at Jellybeans for "pushing" her darling grandson - I'd just had Tom and was so shocked I just burst into tears and left Never seen the woman in my life - certainly wouldn't just leave now !!

Hope you are all around half term week so I can play! Is anyone doing the YSP Mile for Maude?

Gingermonkey · 24/04/2007 18:49

Chloe - what a weirdy child!!! Sarah, I was supposed to be doing Mile For Maude but have a wedding to go to on that day (typically, I never have things planned usually!). I'd love to sponser you though, how shall I do it?
Thailand friend has gone to our really quite inconsiderate frend in Leeds now, who was expecting her to make her own way back to Brid tomorrow as it was really not convenient for her! I told her I'd give her a lift but inconsiderate friend has given in and said she'd do it (under a bit of pressure). We haven't seen her in 3 yrs, I'd drive to the other end of britain if it meant I could see her for a bit. Going to see her again next week before she goes back and to save her going mad over at her mum and dad's!

PhoenixGirl · 24/04/2007 19:21

Fancy sorting another meet up then?

When's school hols sarah?

SmileyC · 24/04/2007 19:33

Chloe, Phoenix- Thanks for a lovely time. Thanks for being so friendly and chatty. Your little ones are a credit to you both. They seemed really tired by the time you left. I hope they both had a good nap. DS had a nice sleep in the car and the traffic was ok on the way home.
Chloe-you did mention what that boy said and i thought it a bit odd myself. Sort of made me think about James Bulger at the time but I did not want to say anything. Little kids seem to know far too much about violence these days (I sound all old saying that sort of thing...)

GingerM- Sorry that your friend is being a pain but hope you enjoying spending time with the other friend who has flown over. Tell her "Sawatdee Ka" (sp?) I'm sure she'll be impressed! I learned how to say "I'm very pleasd to meet you"- really quite a long phrase for a beginner (pronouced something like "Ditch-ann yindee tea die route-sak-ka") I used it on the plane on a Thai steward, but I said it to fast for him to understand! Then when I slowed down, he said-in English- "I'm very pleased to meet you too"
The CD which I used to learn my phrases must have had people speaking on it who talked fast-speed Thai! Made me laugh!

Sarah-Poor William. Nasty Granny! Are you a teacher then? Only found out about Mile for Maude on here last week. Hope to be able to do it-depends what DH is doing. Is it on Sat? I can't remember.

Better go, supposed to be going out in 15mins and need to get ready..........

SmileyC · 24/04/2007 19:35

Do you meet up regularly? Is it on different days so that different people are able to come?
Right-really must go now...

PhoenixGirl · 24/04/2007 19:39

We've met a few times and yes normally different days. If we're going somewhere in nice weather i'd prefer it to be on my days off I don't fancy having fun in the sun then going to work

PhoenixGirl · 24/04/2007 19:50

Did he go to sleep chloe? Lewis fell asleep in the car within 5 mins. I called at Asda on my way home and bought Lewis an inflatable police car ball pool and 200 balls. We've got it up in the house and he loves it

Glad you had a good day Smiley. We really enjoyed it too

Chloe55 · 25/04/2007 09:51

Yeah he went to sleep PG - for about an hour and half!!

Funny you should say that Smiley - that's exactly what my mum said when I told her too. Odd. Very odd.

Gingermonkey · 25/04/2007 21:21

Hellooooo there! Anyone fancy meeting up on monday morning at Leapfrogs????

SmileyC · 25/04/2007 22:08

Hello!
I might be able to meet up Monday. I'm not sure whether to drive very far from home though cos the car is making a few noises -exhaust is going and a few other bits need fixing too. It's in for a service next Thurs so ought to be roadworthy again soon. I'll see how it runs over the next few days and reconsider but I thought it was a bit ropey on the way back from leapfrogs on Tues..... Would be nice to meet you though.
My memory is like a sieve-what children do you have? How old? Sorry if you already told me!

Gingermonkey · 25/04/2007 22:10

DD nearly 8 and DS 18 mths. Where do you live? And what do you have?

SmileyC · 25/04/2007 22:12

I live in North Derbyshire, few mins off J29 of M1, in a pretty little village-I normally just tell people I live nr Chesterfield cos they have generally heard of it! Have one DS aged 13months.

Gingermonkey · 25/04/2007 22:14

So it is a bit of a trek then for you.

SmileyC · 25/04/2007 22:20

It's a little way-about 50mins in ok traffic. I just know that I'll be on my way up one day and the M1 will be dreadful and I'll be stuck in a jam for ages!
I did used to travel alot for my job though so my concept of far away is further than most! Iused to go to Liverpool and back in a day, Newcastle etc etc, further sometimes. Having said that I may not be able to do weekly meets cos of petrol costs! I'll have to work out what it costs per trip and see how I get on but I do want to join your meet ups as and when I can.

Gonna have to log off in a min-DH is sitting on own-bless!

Gingermonkey · 25/04/2007 22:24

Ok, speak to you soon. Hope you can make it on monday without the car falling to bits!!!

SausageButtyMonster · 25/04/2007 22:28

I will be there...Told DH if he hasnt any work on then he can do things in the house while me and the girls are out.

Gingermonkey · 26/04/2007 07:58

Might as well make himself useful! Besides, you se him every day and you haven't seen me for over a week!!!!!!!

Chloe55 · 26/04/2007 15:56

Awww I can't do Monday - what's the chances of you changing it to a Tuesday?

SausageButtyMonster · 26/04/2007 16:29

None really as we have swimming lessons on a Tuesday....
I could always go again on Wednesday or Thursday ?????
