City ladies who (work and) lunch: Next City lunch?

It's February, it's wet, I have a toddler in the midst of the very ?terrible twos?, I am recovering from a horrid cold/flu bug and I cannot seem to find the right new job (if such a thing actually exists)...oh and the world is full of young couples going on romantic dinners / breaks...I definitely need another City MNers lunch!

So, who is in the City and available for lunch week commencing 12th March at the Pizza Pomodoro, off Bishopsgate? I cannot remember for certain which days are the most convenient for everyone (although I seem to recall that Mondays and Tuesdays are good) so do feel free to suggest any day (except, she says selfishly, Friday).

...off to have a quiet grump now and maybe cheer myself up with coffee and a chocolate muffin...

Hi Jura, good to see you spied this thread...do let me know when are free for lunch as, in my book, helping select the date has to be one of the perks of responding early

Yes, I am on the lookout for a new role ...shhh. I'd be more than happy to satisfy your academic curiosity re the current market. I would also be extremely interested in chatting about "a particular bit of a lovely firm." Perhaps coffee sometime soon, otherwise, hopefully, we can catch up over lunch.

Oh, I think I can come, but will be quite late. I have to collect DS2 at 1:15 or so, and then bike to you. Probably get there at 1:30 and have dessert or coffee or something? If that's possible?

Novembergirl · 18/02/2007 12:40

NotQuiteCockney, you and DS2 would be welcome to join us around 1.30 (ish).

If the other ladies do not mind, I propose that we meet at 12.45 (rather than 12.30) so that NotQuiteCockney might make it for dessert?

12th March is good for me too. I'd better put it in my diary before I forget. I think I've met Novembermum before.

Novembergirl · 20/02/2007 15:16

Hi CristinaTheAstonishing, hope you have put lunch in your diary as it would be great to have you along.

BTW, has your nickname changed slightly? If so, I do think we might have met at a previous City lunch.

Still room for more City MNers....

Yes, it was Cristina7. My DS just got an appointment this morning for a mapping session for his cochlear implant on the 12th, but I think DH will go with him as I'm doing other appointments. It's at 11.30, just my luck. I think I'll get out of it as Mondays and Tuesdays are the days when I go into work and DH lookes after DS and DD.

Mumpbump · 20/02/2007 15:35

Would have liked to, but won't be around on that day. I shall watch out for the next one! Have a nice time...

Mumpbump...I'm so sorry the date is not convenient for you...next time we will have to ensure you can make it.

...anyone else...?

Hello. I am fairly new to this mumsnet thing and have just spotted this thread. I work near Bishopsgate and I'm in work that day. Can I join in? Just let me know if that's too cheeky!

Hi therealcontrolfreakydave and Mollymawk; please do join us for lunch. We are a very friendly bunch and, as you have probably gathered already, new faces are always very welcome...

Great! Now I just have to work out how to know who you are. Mind you, I suppose there can't be that many tables of several women in the restaurant at any one time...

Astonishingly I am not a lawyer or an accountant. However, I can't claim to give you anything interesting (or non-legal) to talk about as I am instead a patent attorney

Yes, I'd like to come! Sorry you've been having such a grim time, Novembergirl! (It's Dino, btw.)

NotQuiteCockney · 24/02/2007 13:18

Goodness. I'm not an accountant. I'm not a lawyer. I'm not even a working type person. I am apparently a lady who lunches.

eemie · 24/02/2007 14:05

Would have loved to come but can't usually do Mondays. If you have one on a Tuesday or Wed I'll be there like a shot. (Not lawyer or accountant either).

Have a good time

Babybear10 · 28/02/2007 14:54

Me too.... but would have to be a Wed, Thurs or Friday.

It would be great to meet some new working mums.

I am a lawyer but are fully house trained
