Hello!

I'm Jacky, I'm 24 a mum to Oliver whos 20 months. My husband and me have recently moved to Hadleigh, Ipswich and so i'm really keen to meet and make new friends. If anyones interested that would be great! I drive so travel isnt a problem. I'm a full time mum so it can be quite lonely at times, after leaving all our old friends behind back in Surrey. Thanks

Hi Jacky, I'm not that far from Hadleigh myself. Welcome to the thread!
I have a Dd who is 3 in Nov and a 19 week old DS. We moved here from Norfolk about 6 years ago. How are you getting on in Hadleigh? Don't know it all that well apart from the big Buyrite (sp?) and the play area near the river!

Chinchilla · 10/09/2004 19:50

I'm fairly near Hadleigh too. Colchester.

jacky21130 · 10/09/2004 21:03

Hiya, I'm really pleased we moved here. We wanted to live in the countryside, and living somewhere like Hadleigh we have the best of both worlds with countryside but also everything we need! (schools, shop etc) Its just the trying to build new friendships that is hard. My husband works nights as well so i'm on my own with Ollie from morning and then when hes gone to bed i'm all alone in the evenings! Some regular adult company would be great! So if anyones keen for a meet up that would be lovely.

Hi everyone. I'm from Hadleigh also. We moved here in March so it's all still quite new. I have a daughter who's 9, a son who's 7 and a baby daughetr who is 8 weeks, as well as 2 stepchildren who are 16 and 15! Oh and I'm 34. Would be nice to make new friends in the area.

Lowryn · 14/09/2004 12:31

MarmaladeSun · 14/09/2004 13:48

jacky21130 · 14/09/2004 21:32

Hi Jacky. Things aren't too hectic really; stepchildren aren't around a lot, and my older 2 are at school, so it's ususally just me and the baby plus 2 labradors! Whereabouts in Hadleigh are you? I mean, obviously don't post your address but where are you near? I'm up the top near the industrial estate.

jacky21130 · 15/09/2004 19:35

Hiya marm
I'm off Wilson road. up the hill from Benton street. We are just renting at the mo. Hoping to get on the property ladder soon! We really hope to stay in Hadleigh. we are just starting to settle now. it would be great to meet up. I need a social circle again!! especially as i'm a full time mum now. its a long week if you dont really have much company!

bamster · 21/09/2004 21:55

i come from stowmarket, i used to go to hadleigh high school. left in 1991. ihave a 21month boy who is such a mummys boy it drives me bonkers

MarmaladeSun · 23/09/2004 10:55

Completely forgot I had posted on here! LOL. Bamster, you will reap the rewards when DS is older and still close to his Mummy. My son, who is nearly 8 is still a Mummy's boy, and is never ashamed to kiss me in front of his friends at school. I love it!

Hi, I am collecting the coupons on the Farleys rusks - free swims etc. One of the nearest pools that is in on this offer is Hadleigh Swimming pool. Has anyone tried it, is it warm/clean/good for kids?

Chinchilla · 24/09/2004 20:25

No, but Hadleigh is lovely. A shop there sells my cards (Gifted Arts and Crafts), so make sure you pop in there too!

MarmaladeSun · 25/09/2004 17:44

Lowryn, my DD uses Hadleigh pool with the school for swimming lessons. Very basic according to her, and not that warm but it does the job IYSWIM.

littletree · 30/09/2004 21:01
