Ok next city meet-up lunchtime on weds 23rd June.
Let's do coffee/sandwich in Starbucks on Appold St (or other such venue if anyone has any better ideas.) Then if weather is nice we can sit outside. Also if Vivat (or anyone else) is bringing babies it will be nice and shaded under the umbrellas.

Who's going to be around ?

And if you are new to city meet-ups please come along - we are a lovely friendly bunch - even if I say so myself

I might come along tomorrow....easy for me to get to..I have a yummy dd1...just over 6 months..love Starbucks comfy chairs...no excuse really.

Just a bit shy, and podgy since birth of baby. Perhaps seeing some slender mumsnetters will spur me on to stop stuffing my face, insisting to all and sundry 'But I'm breastfeeding' !!

frogs · 22/06/2004 22:13

Oh do come, Newt, I have a 6-month old dd as well -- they can burble and dribble at each other from their buggies.

Newt · 22/06/2004 22:40

Ok frogs! Although I am carrying dd in a sling..can't do the buggy thing yet...but I will pass her round and she'll blow very wet raspberries at everyone...bring a mac!

aelita · 23/06/2004 09:30

Have a nice time ladies...I'd join you, but I have to spend the day flat-hunting in the rain - on my birthday to boot!
Hope to see you all next time.

frogs · 23/06/2004 09:34

Happy birthday, aelita! And good hunting.

It'll be good to see you, Newt. There seems to be something of an amphibian theme developing here, not helped by the weather... Galoshes all round, I think.

bunnyrabbit · 23/06/2004 10:10

Happy birthday Aelita!!

Oooohh can I please book my cuddles with all the babies in advance?

BR
PS Slender? I'm sorry but this adjective has never been, and never will be, used in any sentence concerning my chunky self. In fact I will now begin a fit of hysterical laughter... Teeheeteeheeteehee

bunnyrabbit · 23/06/2004 10:10

...teeeheeteeheeteeheeteehee.....

Kayleigh · 23/06/2004 10:15

Happy Birthday aelita.

Newt, will be lovely to meet you. I'm still carrying baby weight too. Only my baby was 3 last week

Don't worry Newt, you may still be carrying a little baby weight but Dino and I are still carrying the babies so you will all be made to look slim.
If someone could bring some hot water and towels just in case.............

Kayleigh · 23/06/2004 10:49

dino, great idea. Take lots of bags with you and put them on the chairs. Than do a big scowly face (pretend you are playing scary monsters with your boys!). And we should get the whole place to ourselves

Kayleigh · 23/06/2004 10:55

girls - I am afraid I'm going to have to bail out today

Hopefully I'll be able to make the next months one though.

I'm so gutted ....

Kayleigh · 23/06/2004 11:37

Twinkie · 23/06/2004 11:41

Can you imagine all of us clutching our bumps and breathing funny - we would get loads of seats (although I apparently don't look pregant!!

Kayleigh - I am having a complete trauma about hair - wanted it cut by weekend and was supposed to be having it done last Sunday but hairdresser was sick so was thinking of popping into Toni & Guy Liverpool St but don;t want to upset my friendly hairdresser who comes to my house and only charges me £20 rather than the £45 I have to pay when I see her in the salon!!!

What time are we all meeting??

Kayleigh · 23/06/2004 11:42

Meeting 12:30. You HAVE to come.

OP posts:
beachyhead · 23/06/2004 11:49

I'm back on for the meet as sports day is washed out (i'm not too disappointed). But I don't have a bump or a baby! Hope I don't feel too old.....

Twinkie · 23/06/2004 11:51

Oooohhhh do I HAVE to come??

You have to tell me I do actually look pregnant though or I will be terribly upset, everyone esle I know is huge and I thought I was too!!

Who is deffo coming - can you do a list??

Kayleigh · 23/06/2004 11:52
