Hi,

Just joined MN today and thought I would tap out a little note to introduce myself and to see if there are any other mums from Hertfordshire / near Stevenage. My husband, 6 month old son and I are moving out of London to the 'burbs in the new year and won't know any other mums. To be honest - I only know a few here in London (NCT gang) as DH and I are the first to become parents in our group of mates (well someone had to do it...)

I'm planning to go back to work in the spring (with a heavy heart, despite previously being the all time career girl) and really want to make the most of the time I still have off - e.g. meet new friends / other mums and generally get out and about with the bub.

Would love to hear from anyone in the Herts area.

Cheers.

Hi bubblebell, are you interested in the book group?

faeriemum · 04/12/2006 16:12

looking forward to friday!

Hi,
Looks like we are all on to exchange contracts in the next week or 2 and heading for a move in the 1st week of the new year all being well.

I'm concentrating on the excitement of living in a house rather than worrying about the practicalities of a move over the festive season!

So hopefully on for a meet up mid Jan (ish) if that suits other Herts mums?

How is your book club idea going? I may be up for that once we're settled and I have some time to pick up a book!

And in case you're still checking, the meet-up is now next Friday, 15 Dec.

i live in oldtown stevenage, and have a 10 month old boy.

londondixy · 30/12/2006 14:12

Hi all,
Hope you had a great Xmas and all the best for the new year. Annoyingly our move is on the go-slow because of the festive season so it's not looking likely that we'll move as early in Jan as we'd hoped.
As soon as we have dates sorted I'll post again as I'm eager to get stuck in and meet you all.

Bye...
Rachel.

misdee · 21/01/2007 14:05

Pennies · 21/01/2007 20:17

I think I'm not too far - are you in WGC? We're settling in well thanks - really loving it here. DD1 goes to Tewin Tots a couple of times a wekk and I've got both of them at Dinky Dancers and the Music Train. Have vowed never to return to Jungle Mania at the Gosling Centre tho - scary scary place!!

misdee · 21/01/2007 22:52
