AM I REALLY A NUT CASE? LOL!
maybe you would all think this is odd, but its a lovely litte forum happening here! i know i would hve loved this kind of network when i was preg, or didnt kno who to turn to, so its time to spread the word to everyone u know who would benefit i also thought that maybe we could all wear a special ribbon ( or anything universal and inexpensive) to show who we are?

as im starting to lokk at parents, or people that lokk like parents ?? And think, maybe i talked to them last night, is that weird, am i alone in thinking that? maybe tie sumt to ur pushchair, ribbon is inexpensive, and tie some to your pushchair, that way we could talk, ONLY IF WE ANTED TO _) or even just say hi, then you would know someone else locally, and maybe in another town what dya think!

i'm not in any sense wishing to do you down, chocabloc, i'm just interested... is it really quicker for you to write in txt than in english?

if you're typing xcuse rather than excuse, for example, don't you have to think about how you can minimise excuse and doesn't this waste time? i imagine it can be calculated in nanoseconds, but given that txt is so difficult to understand i don't get why it's the preferable option. any thoughts? as i say i'm really interested...

chocabloc · 18/11/2006 00:57

Im in my 2nd yr at uni, and i have to write correctly all the time,(havn a break) if people can undr stand, then i will just write it, and im used to writing like this when i txt! sorry!

no don't apologise, i'm not complaining really, just fascinated. i can't read text language quickly, and i do have to say it out loud in my head to decipher it which is laborious and a bit irritating, so it does mean that i ignore most texty posts. i'm sure you will manage fine without any input from me, however . i suppose if i was to complain i would think that if someone wants a response from the widest group of people then they should communicate in the most easily-understood idiom... but that really isn't directed at you.

anyway, to answer my question, it is actually easier and faster for you to write UR than you are? SUMT than something etc etc? it would take me longer to figure the abbreviation out.

so you consider writing in text language to be 'a break' from your usual essay style? am not having a go, just interested, like i said.

i remember my first ever text message that was all in text speak, i didnt have a clue what was going on and asked them to resend it in english. i dont use text speak as i have my phone on predictive text, but occasionally use it when typing as it just slips out lol. i can understand it now, but sometimes i sit there going (for example) ne1, totally confuses me, and i repeat ne1 ne1 n e 1, till i get it
