AM I REALLY A NUT CASE? LOL!
maybe you would all think this is odd, but its a lovely litte forum happening here! i know i would hve loved this kind of network when i was preg, or didnt kno who to turn to, so its time to spread the word to everyone u know who would benefit i also thought that maybe we could all wear a special ribbon ( or anything universal and inexpensive) to show who we are?

as im starting to lokk at parents, or people that lokk like parents ?? And think, maybe i talked to them last night, is that weird, am i alone in thinking that? maybe tie sumt to ur pushchair, ribbon is inexpensive, and tie some to your pushchair, that way we could talk, ONLY IF WE ANTED TO _) or even just say hi, then you would know someone else locally, and maybe in another town what dya think!

ribbon is a good idea, actually.

Flossam · 17/11/2006 23:57

I like the fact that Mn is somewhere that I can come away from the rest of my life so no I wouldn't be up for that. You can buy t shirts and stuff from the MN shop if you want to be a public MN'er!

Quootiepie · 17/11/2006 23:58

there is a MN shop???

ISawTortoiseKissingSantaClaus · 18/11/2006 00:00

I'd rather not have people i know well in rl reading up on me here.
Have a feeling my xp2 is around already though!

chocabloc · 18/11/2006 00:04

thanks colditz! ok floss and quootie, didnt know teir was a shop?

but what about when people meet up, surley all anomity is lost! its nie to meet new people! but i can see whre ur coming from, nobodys knows u and u can say what u like! ill just spill most things to people, whats the worse they can do judge me/ u neve a know what goes on behind closed doors.... each 2 their own XXXXXXXXXXXXX

chocabloc · 18/11/2006 00:09

Flossam · 18/11/2006 00:11

I can't find it actually - they are linked with kiddicare now. They used to do t shirts and knickers and stuff - honestly!!!

jampots · 18/11/2006 00:11

there was a woman in starbucks in solihull the other week who ihad down as a MNer - dontknow why really. She had a lovely little (big) baby boy and was appeared to be a Starbucks regular from her advice on what was or wasnt good to eat there

chocabloc · 18/11/2006 00:12

chocabloc · 18/11/2006 00:15

And maybe JAMPOTS if peole dont want to be idenified, which is hard?? then if u see her again, maybe u could mention the site, u neva know she may need the company, she mayb crying inside, or she may be on top of th world!

i've met hunkermunker and thats it.

i'm not sure i would like to use ribbon tied to buggies as a sign i am a mumsnetter, as my buggies tend to have ribbons, hair bands etc round the handles anyway, as with 3 girls, one will always pull them out of their hair.

chocabloc · 18/11/2006 00:19

WELL I SAW, i started a thread for peole in my area, specic area, but had no reply! but there is one for surrounding areas, so maybe do that! cos its nie when u hava cov with a random person/ parent then may appreciate the company and a new local freind1 but then u neva see them again, is such a shame1 but then u cant just say! "HEY WANNA HOOK UP SUMTIME"

so this could be the way around it, a simple ribbon on ur puschair? or any suggestions guys,
START A THREAD AND SEE WHAT HAPPNS, NUTN 2 LOSE?

chocabloc · 18/11/2006 00:26

i saw! my ds is 2, and he hasnt had a baysitter yet, as i have freinds and family closeby! but cudnt u have them all in bed, and get a baysitter, nkow their not cheap, but some people share them etc??? THEN GO ALL OUT! if not im sure if u go to your council, they could organise respite, cos u do need a break, if their is absolutley nobody to lend a hand, if i was near/ could drive, id cum cu!
