I have checked with DP, he is ok to look after DD on 28th or 28th.

jampot · 12/06/2004 22:14

28th it is then !!!!

Ronniebaby · 13/06/2004 17:57

28th is fine by me too.

Anymore takers??????

LunarSea · 13/06/2004 21:48

Yep - 28th is ok.

Ronniebaby · 13/06/2004 21:55

Lunarsea - Cool,

Now where shall we meet?????

Any good suggestions, I can eat most except for Fish. And I will be driving so I wont be drinking.

jampot · 13/06/2004 22:09

I'll probably just have a glass of wine and I'm easy with food so does anyone else have a preference or dislike to anything?

LunarSea · 14/06/2004 11:38

Ditto to the driving so not drinking, and will eat anything within reason (though trying to lose weight so would prefer something which fits in with that). Can I make a plea for somewhere which isn't too hard to find please as I'm not too intimately acquainted with Solihull? Somewhere like the Heron's Nest or the Black Boy which jampot mentioned earlier in the thread would be great for me - I know where they are - but anywhere that side of town and/or easy to find is ok.

jampot · 14/06/2004 11:51

The Orange Tree is lovely too lunar. Which way will you be coming. I know Ronnie is in Tamworth and think Shopaholic is in Solihull as is Jollymum, Chrissy is in Acocks Green. Not sure where MB or Mez are from. so if some are travelling along M42 is it worth converging on Knowle or Chadwick End?

Ronniebaby · 14/06/2004 12:22

MB is in Burton, altho outlaws live in Sutton Coldfield, will prob train it??

Mez is in Great Barr, Birmingham, so will prob bus it.

Altho I know Solihull very well as outlaws live there, I really can't remember how to get to the Orange tree or the black boy.

Would Solihull centre not be best as everyone can get there, Touchwood is signposted and there is plenty of Parking etc. Just a thought, me I'll go with the flow, just thinking of the public transport people.

LunarSea · 14/06/2004 12:29

Yes I know the Orange Tree (the people who run it have just taken over the pub/restaurant across the field from where I live). To get to Solihull I can either come M40/M42 way, or A45/M42 in the other direction, or up the A4141 which goes right past the door of the Orange Tree. The Navigation at Lapworth is nice too, and close to the Motorway.

jampot · 14/06/2004 13:08

For the sake of those travelling on public transport if you can make it as far as Knowle lunar I can collect you (as long as you are not a mad axe murderer)and return you to the said car park at the end of the evening. If this is okay contact me

LunarSea · 14/06/2004 15:04

jampot - I've emailed you, and while I may (do) have many faults, being a mad axe murderer is not amongst them!

Ronniebaby · 14/06/2004 15:27

If we talkin by the motorway, junction 4 there is the plough (nice food)(towards Solihull) or other direction towards henley there's the old royal oak (something like that) or the Barn @ Hockley Heath.

I can get Mez from sutton if she wants??? MB if you stop at your outlaws, you know the score.

MadameButterfly · 14/06/2004 19:03

What is the score RB?

I will check with my inlaws and see if DD and I can stop with them that night. JUst tried and no answer, so I will let you know as soon as I can

jampot · 14/06/2004 19:08

How about a show of hands for Touchwood/Town Centre or a "close to motorway junctions" meeting point?

Orange Tree, Herons Nest and Black Boy are all on A41 Warwick Road off junction 5 or The Plough, The Barn, Royal Oak are all on A34 off junction 4.

Ronniebaby · 14/06/2004 19:29

Oh MB I worry about you sometimes, the score is, I'll pick you and & drop you back, silly.

I'm easy with any of the places mentioned, I was just thinking about those without a lift, how easy some of them are to get to.

MadameButterfly · 14/06/2004 19:32

sorry, I think the heat has got to me.

mez75 · 14/06/2004 20:46

Hi ladies just to let you know im gonna have to skip this one. Decided it is a bit to far to travel to at night. Have a good time though

MadameButterfly · 14/06/2004 20:47

Sorry to hear that Mez.

Hope to see you at the Birmingham meet 1st JUly.

MadameButterfly · 14/06/2004 20:57

Ronniebaby · 14/06/2004 22:37

Ronniebaby · 16/06/2004 13:38

shopaholic · 16/06/2004 14:51
