Cool - Jampot, I know I can ask you on MSN, but thought we should arrange it officially with everyone else.

Jampot - a late reply to your question: I am very pleased with the school although its not perfect of course. My eldest is not that academic and I feel that she does get lots more attention than she would in a comp. My little DD is v bright and she is given every opportunity to shine. So on the whole school good. plus important- no boys as distraction. But I worry that this makes the girls rather young and unworldly for their ages.

Don't they have close ties with Solihull School (or is that just me putting them together ? I heard SS were taking girls so I called them to ask for a prospectus but found it was from next year. Would have considered that option too if we had not been successful.

Chrissey I think the concensus is on a meet up without the kids, I know myself, MButterfly, Mez, think its a good idea, Jampot is easy either way as she lives in Solihull.

No night has been arranged yet, I can do any night of the week except Thursdays, as its DH's night out. Altho I could drop DS off at outlaws and stay over there as they live in Solihull.

So ladies we need to think of a suitable date and then where, do we eat or just drinks etc.

As there are loads of bar's in Touchwood it might be an idea to go there.

I know Mbutterfly is on hols til the weekend, but she may check out this.

I can't do thursday nights but can do most others. Will need to know date well in adavance though so I can get a babysitter in case DP is not home in time.

Jampot - late reply again, no there is no link between the two schools, SS has a slightly better academic reputation I think. Girls allowed from Sept 2005.

Meet up - I may be interested if I can pluck up the courage as I am v shy!!!!

Myself and Madamebutterfly, met up and now we are good friends, we see each other at least once a week if we can, with kids and occasionally we arrange a night out and a stop over, yippeeeeeee.

So just come along, give us a made up name if you want, it really dont matter.

Right, I can't do 15th, 20th, 22nd (Beatties Perfumery Summer Gala thing), 25th or 30th June, 7th July or 27th August (my bday) so far.

Let me know what everyone else can do. Dh no longer working nights (for now). Touchwood is good for bars, do we want to have a bite to eat? I personally like Cafe Rouge for light bites but will eat anywhere!!!

I,m so shy that parents at school think I,m a bit stand offish and cold but I'm not like that really. I'm ok with people I know really well. To be honest i feel a bit pathetic to be talking like this at 41!! Gasp. Am also concerned that I will be older than everyone else.
BTW I think Cafe Rouge is good and also Yellow River if you like Chinese/Thai food.

Well quite a lot of my friends and a couple of parents at my kids' school thought I was snotty until they got to know me (now they don't think it at all !!!! I'm 35 btw - not sure how old/young everyone else is. Love Yellow River too..

Ooh - are you doing an evening meetup? I'm not far away (in Warwickshire) but have never made it to any meetup before as I work full time. Oh and I'm 38 so shopaholic you certainly wouldn't feel drastically different age-wise!

I cant do any thursday as DH has his one night out that day.

I cant do June 15th, 16th, 17th, 19th 20th, 23rd, 24th,

July is fairly free (except Thurs) August has a few dates, but I hope it'll be in June at least.

I'm easy with the food etc, I like the idea of having some food.

for june we're looking for 18, 21, 27, 28, 29 ?

Jampot - I'm near Leamington, so it's a quick trip up the M40 for me to get to Solihull. I think most dates in June/July are ok at the moment except 15th June and 16-18 July.

I can't do the 18th. but any other the other dates should be ok.

I will check with DP when I gat home tomorrow thoough and let you know for definte.
